Treasures from the Knap-In!

I thought this was a Geode but now I’m wondering if it is an Agate. Does anyone know? I’m sure someone will read this and have an idea! I picked up the large blue ‘rock’.

And my hubby bought these small thin pieces (for ME).

Whatever they are….they are gorgeous!

And here’s my new Navajo jewelry and leather bracelet.

DSCN4735

I was wearing a Zuni ring that I’ve had for years and when I chose the Navajo ring, it nested right next to the ring I was wearing. AMAZING!

DSCN4740

Out of all the rings I had to choose from, I got the perfect ring.

DSCN4722

And the necklace is Navajo too. I have quite a few pieces from years ago but it’s always fun to get something new, or in this case… vintage!

DSCN4721

The watch and bracelet I ALWAYS wear!

I’ve been working on some cards (or tags) that are about twice as wide as bookmarks to give as gifts.

What do you think?

Diane, Great rocks ! I have seen those rock slices made into necklaces. Well depending on size. :):) Those tags are very nice, crafty girl. Hope your week is going well. Ours is wet and now back into the colder temps. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Love the jewelry. I am a jewelry fan but just don't wear any as much since I retired. And I love the Navajo look.

I love your jewelry. I use to wear turquoise but don't currently have any and I may have to remedy that! Those rocks are so pretty, I have some thin slices of whatever that is and they are fun to have! Your cards are so sweet! I'm doing OK had a funeral to go to yesterday and it wore me out(too much walking) I will be so glad when I am back to normal. Hugs!

Hi Diane, nice pics of the rocks. Pretty rings and your watch too. I enjoy making tags but have been so busy quilting that making cards had been put on the back burner. I’ll have to make a few soon. Take care.

Just looks like pretty stones to me. I love your jewelry and nice that it is meaningful to you too. Your card/bookmarks are lovely. Really like that quote about having faith bigger than your fear.

I'd vote for agate, but either way it's wonderful. Lots of pretty things here today!

Very pretty pieces of Southwest jewelry, Diane. Even your blouse looks like your pieces! I can't help you with the rocks, but I sure do like your gift tags. ♥

Lovely, Diane, but I'm of no use - I don't know rocks at all. My mother had a cousin who was a, I believe the name is, rock hound. We have friends in New Mexico who have Native American jewelry, and they're even learning the Navajo language. I like the way your rings fit together.

I love the rocks and jewelry. They look like agates because geodes have the crystals inside....now I'm second guessing myself!

I love the tags. They're great!

Such pretty blue stones. I'd call them agates, but what do I know? Your new jewelry is lovely with the older pieces.
Cute bookmark/cards.

I don't know about the geode/agate, but I LOVE the Navajo jewelry. I have several pieces of my own and I love them all. Thanks for linking up today!

You found charming jewelry that complements your current pieces - I love when that happens!

I am sure your tags will be an inspiration to those who are blessed to receive them!

Yes, Diane, it's an agate. We lived on the Lake Superior shores were you could find them, if you were lucky enough!
You're cards are so nice. Cards are so expensive now and your handmade ones are more like receiving a gift as well.

Oh I love all your new "pretties"! Your new ring DOES go great with the others....perfect match! Love that pretty necklace too and I've been interested in rocks and gems a little the past year maybe. My Mom is much more into it than me. I love the pretty ones you got. I have a purple one of those flat/polished things like yours--not sure what they are called either. That blue rock is so neat, love it!!

How beautiful, Diane. It looks like agate to me, but then I've never seen a blue agate. Your rings are lovely. I really like that look! Have a wonderful evening. xo

your jewelry is beautiful, i love looking at/seeing pretty jewelry but i don't wear it. one ring, my wedding band and my diamond stud earrings and that's it!!

i don't know about the stones, but the as really pretty as are your cards/tags. a nice project!!

I googled it... Geode has crystals in the center and sometimes has openings in the center.Agate is solid through and does not have crystals So I'd say you have agate there.

Beautiful, all! I used to wear turquoise Indian jewelry in my youth, and at some point decided it wasn't for me any more and gave it away. Now, of course, I wish I didn't. I do have a few turquoise pieces I wear on occasion - your watch is beautiful!

Lovely new rings. I’d go with agate, which is usually smooth, while geode has bits/crystal like in center.

I love the Navajo jewelry and the agate, or whatever it is. Those tags are very pretty too.

I believe it is Agate, Diane. Our friend had a huge collection and his pieces look similar.

Beautiful presents from your hubby. He did good!!!! They were for your birthday---right?

Cute tags, too. Hope you have a great weekend- xo Diana

I love the sayings on the tags you made. You did a nice job on these. And the silver round necklace with the turquoise is really cool. It makes me want to wear jewelry again. ; )

Loved reading the earlier post about the festival and your jewelry from there is beautiful -- and perfect.

They are beautiful agates! I have a geode collection. And just to make it a bit more confusing, some agates are geodes.

Love the stones - and the lovely jewelry. Your cards are just so wonderful, you have such great talents. I have cleaned and cleaned and cleaned my studio - it is organized and wonderful - and now I'm afraid to go in there and start something for fear I'll end up under piles again, so I've stayed out and just done embroidery on the crazy quilt.
