A Walk to the Pond at Sunset

We haven’t walked to the pond with our camera lately. And now that the sun is setting later, I can go after dinner. The light was really too low for good photos but that didn’t stop me from taking a few! lol

It’s a small pond surrounded by the gold course, with a few houses on the other side of the pond.

I saw the Canada Geese fly in while I was walking and they landed as far away from me as they could get!

Lots of Ring-Necked Ducks on the pond..

and other ducks. (that will remain nameless)

I loved this duck across the way. (I think it’s a hybrid Mallard)

Beauty in every direction and an amazing sunset!

Your images are lovely. I've started walking in the evenings. As long as there is a breeze, it doesn't feel too humid! Ducks are fun to watch. They make me smile! Happy Monday!

Hi Diane, oh how nice to go on those walks in the evening. I love that it stays lighter out now in the evenings especially when I am driving around.

That was an amazing sunset, an early evening stroll wearing just shorts and a T shirt sounds heaven. We've still got a little bit of snow here in England with more forecast before we leave for France next weekend, Ho Hum!
Happy MM.

Diane, I am envious of your Florida weather. We have had chilly or slightly warm days here. I like that little Mallard duck. It reminds me of the book "Ping".

I'm happy to tell you that I've decided to start a crafty blogger blog and I hope that you will visit. xo

Happy Spring, sweet friend! Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos. While the light may have been too low/dark, I think the pictures were lovely...especially the first one :)

Hugs to you!

There is so much wonderful wildlife to see in Florida, and I can't blame them for going there to enjoy the nice weather as much as people do! Ducks are entertaining to watch. I love how their bottoms show when they dive for food.

Oh the beauty of God's world! I loved that shot of 'nameless' ducks. The reflections on the water are sheer beauty. We're expecting freezing rain and its already here. yuk, and so dangerous if we must drive....don't think we do though. More sweet hours to knit. Wishing you a very good kind of day!

It is such a blessing to walk and see such beautiful graceful creatures, and then be blessed by such a gorgeous sunset too! Now walking in shorts and a t-shirt is a long ways off for us here, but its good to know spring is coming in your world now! Hugs to you today :)

Hello my friend, very pretty neighborhood and the area around the pond just looks so calm and quiet and peaceful! I love your pictures of the ducks and the sky and the water. Can you beleive it's almost April? I am sure ready for it and so glad spring is officially here now. Do y'all have anything planted yet? Our azaleas are in full bloom, we have white ones and hot pink and the deeper pink--almost like red. I love them all. Sure looking forward to getting container gardens going and watching things grow. I sure hope I have better luck with my morning glories and moon flowers this year, last year they didn't do anything (the morning glories) and the moon flowers were sparse. Morning glories have always been so easy for me, so not sure what happened there, LOL.

These are beautiful. I'm watching snow come down. It is pretty, but I am tired of boots and worrying if I'll slip. So enjoyed your warmer weather pictures.

I'm not quite in shorts yet, but I feel it in the air. Very pretty in different types of like. I've never heard of a hybrid mallard, cool.

It sounds like a nice walk at sunset, Diane. I don't see the sunsets as often as I'd like, but I do enjoy those sunrises. : ) It's always a treat to see the Geese. Yes, they are cautious ones. I can see how they didn't get too close to you.
