Tuscawilla Park

We love this park but haven’t been in awhile.

We thought of you when we were there, Eileen! (she visited this park when she was in Florida)

It was surprising to see lots of different birds….

not the usual birds we’ve seen in the past.

We even saw a Belted Kingfisher fly by and land in a tree across the way.

It’s nice that hubby has a good zoom on his camera!

Don’t you LOVE these Seagulls?

Lots of posing…

and flying!

And even a photo bombing when hubby was trying to photograph a Great Blue Heron. A Gull flew by just as he clicked!

We both had our cameras clicking!

Beautiful park is this.
Very beautiful this kind of kingfisher, which we do not see in the Netherlands.
Best regards, Irma

Those long lenses do come in handy. Especially so for smaller size birds. Good work in capturing that Belted Kingfisher.

Diane, You certainly have a great assortment of birds there. Love that pretty kingfisher. Seagulls in Florida are like starlings here. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
p.s. Emma is in Florida...wish you could see her.

Pretty park and lovely walk . . . I think it is wonderful that you and your husband love walking and exploring your area together. I am hoping that when my Steve finally retires, that I can get him to walk with me. It is so good for your health and getting out in the fresh air looking at nature is the number one way to relieve stress.

I love the caption on the last photo. I often wonder what birds and animals are thinking about us as we take their photos...although sometimes I think maybe it's better that we don't know!

I had a big bird photo bomb me this afternoon when I was out in our parking lot photographing the Thunderbird jets doing their air show down the road--those birds think they can fly anywhere and anytime they want!!!
great photos--
enjoy, di

Wonderful pictures as usual. Such a pretty place to take pictures of the birds. Thanks for your help identifying the "mystery" bird on my blog.

Nothing better than a nice long walk on a pretty and sunny day! I love when you take us along to see your sights. We vist quite a few of your parks when in Florida because when you travel with two dogs, we have to find a place to walk them. Not just for them "doing their business" but so they can also enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, and all the fun things to see and TO SNIFF AND SMELL, ha ha LOL. We liked all of the parks we've been to, some very small city/town parks and some large ones like that big one in Orlando. (the name escapes me now, sorry) We also so love our parks here in Charleston. Buying a year pass pays off very very quickly, for our county parks. I'm trying to remember when we last visited a State Park, maybe when we evacuated for a hurricane, maybe??---not sure. There is also a State Park in Myrtle Beach we really enjoy. Do y'all go to any State parks there? I also love the Tennessee State parks.

I'm so envious of the Kingfisher photo! All your (and hubby's) photos are good as always, but I have tried for years to get a good picture of a Kingfisher...we see them fairly often here and in Oregon and points between, but every time I put the camera up to my eye they fly away.... every.single.time!!! Thanks for the lovely pictures ... and this Park looks like an amazing place to walk.
