Sightings close to home!

Real close! We watched these two White Ibis in our backyard a couple of weeks ago.

A crow was watching them pretty close too!

Up close…

Isn’t this a pretty bed of clover and an odd palm tree across the way?

And then when we walked out front one evening we saw a Red Shouldered Hawk land on the gutter of the house across the street.

It’s hard to get good photos in the evening with the low light.

But this shows the beautiful feathers of the back of this majestic bird.

That’s one of the great things about living in Florida…

lots of wildlife even in your own back (or front) yard!

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

And what a joy to get up early and watch the Royal Wedding! Our very best wishes for this beautiful young couple. God bless them!

That hawk is SO gorgeous! Wow. We have flocks of Ibis that travel through the yards eating bugs. They are fun to watch!

Hawks do not hang out here so freely as they do down your way. 🙂 I have only seen a couple in my entire life.

You just made me realize - we don't see much clover out here in Montana! I do miss it! Lovely birds, especially the ibis. How wonderful to have them in your YARD!

Now that is highly impressive Diane. And slightly amusing to one whose garden birds are limited to mainly Goldfinch!

I would be thrilled to have an ibis or a large hawk in my yard, even more so to get pictures like that.

I liked seeing the Ibis and the hawk! Hawks fascinate me. I don’t care how many good shots I have, if I see one I’m taking a picture. Interesting creatures. Happy Sunday!

A hawk about the size of a turkey landed in our birdbath yesterday after strafing our birdfeeders. I about had a heart attack.

I did the same thing as you a week ago Saturday! (And I think I'm still catching up on sleep, but it was worth it!). I agree with you about how wonderful it is to see these kind of birds so close to home!
