Fences and Trees

It’s been a good summer for this part of North Central Florida. There’s been enough rain to keep things pretty and green.

I hate to see someone carve into a big beautiful Live Oak, but it’s done now, so I thought I would share.

(that’s a party balloon on the ground not a wild animal)

I like the sentiment….but not the damage to the tree!

We drove to a boat ramp to see if anyone was catching fish and this was a pretty setting.

The shade looks welcoming, doesn’t it?

I’m joining Tex for the

Good Fences party!

Wonderful photos, my friend! The fishing scene looks so relaxing - and I agree about the Oak tree. The sentiments are nice, but it sure marred the tree. Will that eventually kill it?

Very pretty Diane...I never think of Florida as being so lush. Of course the only part of Florida I have been to is Destin and Orlando!!

What a beautiful post!! Love all that GREEN!!!! You are so blessed to live in such a pretty place! We are in Colorado enjoying the fall colors. While you are GREEN and the colors here are gorgeous - we usually just change from green to faded green to brown at home in Texas!

Great photos. I like seeing people fish. I use to fish, lots. The rains have really helped with the vegetation. Hope your day is another wonderful Florida day. xoxo,Susie

I don't like carving into trees either - or anywhere else where you shouldn't do for that matter. Why can't some people just leave things alone? Oh well.
Glad you had enough rain - I wish I could say that for our area. It's bone dry, and the rain of last night (what a lovely sound) didn't change much.

Everything is so lush and green, can you send some of that out this way? Hopefully no permanent damage was done to the tree and it will heal over.
