HELP!!!

I finally did it...I bought something at the Thrift store that I can't even find when I try to google it! I have NO idea what it is! Amended at the bottom of this post! Thanks!

I thought it was cookie cutters when I first saw it in the bag....

but the attachments screw into the wooden handle...

and it does....WHAT?

Does anyone have any ideas? Have you ever done that before? Have you bought something just because it looked neat but you didn't know what it was? Hubby says the metal is aluminum. (yes, he's still speaking to me! lol)

I searched and I searched....and this is what I found! Thanks to the first comment for a little nudge in the right direction! Look at Wikipedia for this info....

"Rosettes are a thin, cookie-like deep-fried pastry of Scandinavian origin. They are traditionally made during Christmas time. Rosettes are made using intricately designed irons. The iron is heated to a very high temperature in oil, dipped into the batter, then re-immersed in the hot oil to create a crisp shell around the metal. The iron is immediately removed and the rosette is separated from the iron. Usually, the edges of the rosette are dipped into frosting or sugar. Rosette recipes are popular in the United States among families with Scandinavian ancestry."

They are for making Rosettes! Now I need to find a recipe and try to make some!

We went to the beach but.....

we didn't stay on the beach!

My hubby loves to do 'research' before we take a trip

and this time he found a Bed and Breakfast

in a small town near New Smyrna Beach.

It was only a short drive to the beach and we loved it!

Ring Ring....do we have reservations? heehee!

Welcome to The 1876 Heritage Inn !

I loved the antiques and original hardwood floors and hubby loved the nice big breakfast!

 

We spent one afternoon at Canaveral National Seashore 

 

and that was a gorgeous beach with LOTS of seashells!

I would rather look out at the ocean and breathe it all in than just about anything else in the world....

a close second would be to pick up shells!

You never know what treasures you will find! ( I did NOT disturb this crab!)

And yes....

I picked up over 200 shells...

I couldn't stop myself! lol

I didn't color enhance or sharpen these photos so that hopefully you can see the misty look of the ocean and the colors of gray, green and blue....AMAZING!

Florida sunshine and vintage finds!

It's gorgeous here in Florida right now! The weather is perfect and I've been spending time at the pool every day! It's nice to get a little sun after such a long, cold winter!

I also love spending time in the lanai...

I see a lot of Florida knick knacks at the thrift store....

these I couldn't pass up!

They  are a cute little set of coasters...with a flamingo and palm trees!

Add an alligator and you have the perfect decor! heehee!
