*Holiday Baking with Wednesday Wee Ones*

On the days I don't hike, I stay busy working playing around the house. I scrub and clean, get my laundry caught up, oh....and dress dollies!

Well, you know what they say! And I definitely don't want to be DULL!

So one day I dressed Noel in her pretty holiday dress and then made sure she had her apron and hat for her baking 'chores'. I made all of these little clothes, even the potholder, mitt and dishtowels.

I even made those gingerbread men....years ago!

And I got to meet M.A. Vessey years ago at an art show in Hendersonville, NC. She painted this Christmas scene.

I wanted to buy some little cookies but they all looked so fake! (at least the ones in my price range did! lol) So we're not sure what's in the oven but I'm sure it will be yummy! (we'll REALLY have to use our imaginations now)

So don't forget in this busy holiday season to

Take Time to Play!

Happy Halloween from Wednesday Wee Ones!

When you have a big doll collection, it's easy to decorate for every holiday!

A couple of years ago my blog buddy and doll buddy, JoAnn from Scene Through My Eyes and I got busy making doll clothes! She even sent me patterns and fabric so we had a ball creating one of a kind doll outfits! I made the little bubble dress on Opal in the photo above, and the hat!

This little outfit is crocheted and fits my Gracie doll perfectly! ( I bought it at a craft fair!)

And I made this little Raggedy Ann doll and her outfit too.

Just a few fun touches around my house for Halloween!

We don't do anything scary here!

 Wendy would CRY!!! lol

I miss the cute effects we had when Picmonkey was FREE!!!

Have FUN!!! 👻

"Antique Dolls" for Wednesday Wee Ones

Dolls from my childhood are antiques! How did THAT happen? I think I know...time passed...really really FAST!

I was fortunate to find a lady that wanted to sell her childhood dolls and I'm so happy to have them. I don't have much left from my childhood.

I've made up for it in recent years by amassing a nice collection of dolls. I don't play with them as much as I used to but I do like to rearrange them sometimes.

Toodles is from 1960, Betsy Wetsy 1958 and Cricket is a thrift store find so I'm not sure when she was made but she has a similar sweet face, don't you think?

I have a doll room and these three are all on their little bed reading their sweet books!

Most of you know that I collect old children's books too.

So even when it's too hot to hike, I have plenty of toys to play with!

Do you remember a doll you had when you were a child,
or a toy that was special to you?

Remember to 'Take Time to PLAY'!!!

I'm sharing these on Wednesday Wee Ones and

"Wednesday Wee Ones" Wendy to the Rescue!

Let's see....where do I begin with this story!

Wendy is special. She was given to me years ago by a friend and has traveled with me and done a lot of fun things over the years! So when my husband walked out the door carrying Wendy, it didn't totally surprise me. Well, it surprised me a little. But he was going over to our friends' house so I just figured they had asked to see her. It was really all about a surprise for ME! My husband asked our friends, Terry and Sandy to make a cute little vest for Wendy....just for the fun of it!

(Service Doll, do not pet)

Wendy of course has taken her role seriously!

And when Toby jumped up on the back of a chair, she was right there to coax him down.

It wasn't easy but she persevered!

Dolls that persevere? Now you've heard everything!

Or have you?

Wendy thinks I've been taking credit for some of her art!

And I think my husband has been walking around the house with Wendy.

Don't judge us....we're retired! Allow us a 'little' fun!

Wendy's friend Kelsey is showing off her 'groovy' dress today! Visit Homespun Hannah's HERE for her 'wee one'!

Wednesday Wee Ones "Don't be SKEEEERED!"

Well, maybe you won't be skeeered...

but maybe SHE should be!

After all...I see a little white shoe under the table. Where is the dollie that wore THAT shoe?

I love a few sweet decorations...but nothing scary!

And speaking of 'wee ones'. I made a tiny little Halloween book. It's only 3 inches by 4 inches! And it was SUCH fun to work on. I sewed it together on the sewing machine.

Here are some of the pages with tiny pockets, envelopes and tags.

I hope your day is happy without being scary!

Just a few of my sweet dollies...

 Grace in her crocheted costume!

Opal in a bubble dress I made for her!

And a little Raggedy doll I made!

JoAnn and I are both sharing Wednesday Wee Ones today! Visit her HERE! If you want to join us today or tomorrow...just let me know and I'll add a link to this post!
Visit Homespun Hannah's HERE to see the sweet dress she made her doll for football season!
