Let's visit Cannon Farms!

And then we'll take a hike!

Halfway between Blue Run Park and the Pruitt Trailhead for both the Florida trails and Halpata Tastaniki Preserve is Cannon Farms.

We drive by there ALL the time!

But after a hike, we're too tired to stop.

So I made a special trip over there (it's not far) to buy fresh veggies right from the farm.

They really have everything displayed beautifully.

And everyone there is so friendly! Shoppers coming and going but everyone social distancing and most wearing masks even though it it outside. I put mine on to stand in line and check out but walking around, I wasn't close to anyone and could take it off.

Look at the fields of sunflowers.

This field is not as far along so there will be beautiful sunflowers blooming all Summer and Fall!

There's a beautifully written article by Sandra Friend HERE. I had the honor of meeting her and her husband on one of my hikes a couple of years ago and have some of her books. She's the expert on the Florida Trails around here!

And Cannon Farms is on Facebook HERE with lots of neat photos and info!

I came home with fresh veggies and a big cheery Sunflower of course!

I can't wait to go back! And I can't wait to make fried okra to go with BBQ and coleslaw tonight!

Do you have a Farmer's Market near you? It's a great way to support our farmers and shop local! And everything is fresh and tastes so much better! I can't wait to go back! Would you go out in the field to pick sunflowers? Oh good...I'll go with you! 😎

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

I'm linking with All Seasons at the Jesh Studio
