Let’s have some fun with photos!

I take a lot of photographs...I know we ALL do!

You can’t blog without photos! It’s no FUN!

We don’t have time to work on each and every one of our photos but it’s FUN to work on some of them, especially those we want to put in our sidebars!

I saw some neat photos that Debbie had worked on...HERE!

And that gave me the idea to show a little step by step process for making a photo special!

I took this photo....

and opened up Picassa and clicked on the photo to enlarge, then clicked on picnik. (this is a good time to walk away and get a glass of water or a snack. picnik takes a little while to open)

So now we are in picnik....

click on Effects

go to Vignette and do a little magic there,

then go to Focal B & W and place the circle of color that you want to highlight and apply,

Go to Frame, go to Border and choose your outside and inside colors and the width of the frame.

Now it’s time to add the Text...

I used Love Ya Like a.... and changed the color.

Then added Text again.

And VOILA! Wendy is prettier than ever!

I used some of the same techniques for these!

Pumpkins or GOURDS? Which do you like best?

I’ve gone to TWO pumpkin patches now

and seen some of the most unique pumpkins!

(I’ve posted a BUNCH of PUMPKIN pics already! lol)

But I love the gourds best!

I put together this little arrangement for the lanai.

It’s nice and warm here in Florida

and this is where we spend most of our time!

I bought all of these gourds at the pumpkin patch for $3, the crate from the Thrift store for a dime and the crow from Michael’s for less than $2! I used some packing material that I saved....so it cost me less than $5 to put this together.

In my world that’s thrifty AND a little bit of a WOW...

finding ‘great buys’ so that I can get my decorating ‘fix’!

Golf with Wendy the Witch!

Wendy the Witch has gathered all of her pumpkins for Fall!

I found this little crate to put my pumpkin collection

with Wendy the Witch!

I bought Wendy and her hat from the Etsy shop Clay Scraps!

Then I found these candy corn lights at Merchandise Liquidators!

Later I saw them at CVS for a little more but they are worth it!

I’ve been collecting these pumpkins for years and bought most of them from a lady that sells her crafts in NC.

I think they are adorable!

So what does this have to do with GOLF?

I live on a golf course....the blue tee on the tenth hole joins our backyard here in Florida!

So I don’t see many ‘loose’ golf balls! But I have a couple!

(to answer the questions about balls coming in a window...the golfers ‘tee off’ behind our house so the golf balls go DOWN the course. We rarely find one in our yard!)

Decorating with golf balls! heehee!

I’ll have to hide ‘him’ in the pumpkin patch!!!

Fall decorating just got MORE FUN!!!

We have an island in the kitchen here in our condo that separates the kitchen from the living room.

It creates a small ‘wall’ on the living room side that we knew we didn’t need for bar stools…(this is another small wall on the end that will give you an idea of what I mean…since I forgot to take a ‘before’ photo! lol)…

so my husband found the perfect little shelf unit for me to use to display seasonal things!

He brought out my boxes of Fall items

and I looked around for some of my old books and vintage items to fill the cubbies!

It sure was fun to make little vignettes for Fall!

Do you have a space in your house that could use some shelves?

We bought these at Walmart for $29.97!! You can’t beat that!

Fun ways to spend the holiday weekend!

When hubby’s in the mood....

I am, too!

We’ve been shopping two days in a row!

And the sales have been great!

Of course, you never know what you will find!

We didn’t have new kitchen rugs on the list...

but we should have!

WOW! These look SO much better!

And do you get what you pay for?

I bought this really cute little purse at Belk’s!

It’s very lightweight and just what I love!

Of course the contents says it’s PAPER! heehee!

That may explain the price! lol

It was only $10 and it was 40 % off that!

After that I found this body butter with the freshest fragrance...Spa!

But she couldn’t get it to ring up the 75 % off so the supervisor came and by the time she finished I got the bargain of the day! It was originally $24 and I paid $1.86 with tax! Don’t ask...I have no idea why it finally rang up that price but I pulled out a little cash and walked out happy with my purchases!
