Good Fences, Good Neighbors and Good Bye!

Good bye? oh no no no!!!

But I will have to say, ‘see ya later’!

We made some adjustments on our trip to the mountains this year which meant limited internet. We didn’t realize how limited it would be until we tried it! Now I realize I can’t really do the posts I want to do or visit and comment. And I consider my blog buddies my good neighbors so I’ll miss you all. It will only be for a couple of weeks though so don’t forget about me! lol

Of course there are always advantages to staying off the computer. I’ve read 4 books and taken 4 hikes already. (and probably watched 4 old movies)

Same time, same place!

NC Mountain State Fair…OH MY!

We had a fabulous day at the Fair! We decided to go on Friday and when we walked up to the entrance, they told us it was Senior Day and our admission was FREE!

The weather was gorgeous and the fair was wonderful! Look at the mountains in the background!

We watched people on the rides (many screaming their heads off) and smelled the cotton candy.

We ate free apples, peeled and cored and had chicken strips for lunch. (that’s as brave as we could be! haha)

There’s so much to share but I’ll have to be brief. I don’t want to take a break from blogging but we have limited internet right now so I’ve had to cut way back. Please excuse me if I don’t get to visit as often. I’ll catch up properly when we get back to Florida.

Fair News!

I wanted to post a few more pics of the Fair!

If you get a chance to go to a Fair near you…..you really should GO! It’s educational as well as entertaining!

This was a BIG fair and reminded me of a combination Carnival AND Fair with so much to see and do!

We didn’t ride any of the rides…and no….I didn’t eat any Cotton Candy! heehee! But those turkey legs looked good and the drinks served in a coconut shell! lol

But my BIG news…..my sister entered a craft in her local fair and won second place! I’m so proud of her! She’s a very talented artist. She entered a painting and won a ribbon! Wouldn’t it be fun to enter next year? We should all think about it!

“Wednesday Wanderings” The N C Mountain State Fair

What a DAY!

We spent FIVE hours at the fair yesterday!

  

It was FABULOUS!

We saw so many things and I took LOTS of photos!

Our heads are still spinning…

We enjoyed music by the band, Simple Folk. We know Dave, the lead guitarist and enjoyed hearing him perform!

Lots of music that we grew up with….James Taylor, the Monkees, the BeeGees, the Eagles and Jimmy Buffett…FUN…sing along classics!

And here’s a photo taken up close (thanks hubby) of the new me! lol Don’t worry…my hair grows fast! heehee!
