Happy Halloween!

What a busy and FUN week we’ve had! I have so much to blog about but I haven’t been home enough to spend time on the computer. I love it!

A photo of the sky yesterday on a little trip we made that I will post about later! It was an amazing day full of fun!

And for a surprise in the mail yesterday….this is just the cutest little gourd I have ever seen!

Lynda from the Haunted Swamp made it! She hand painted it! Isn’t it cute….I mean SCARY!

I love all my favorite blogs and when Celestina Marie posted the recipe and photos of her meal on Tastey Tuesday, I knew I had to make the delicious salad! Thanks Celestina for sharing so many wonderful ideas on your blog! What fun we have!

Doesn’t it look pretty?

My hubby wanted less fruit and more cheese on his!

I hope everyone enjoys their Halloween fun!

Happy Halloween!

How about a little CHINTZ this morning?

I was so thrilled to find this little pitcher set at New Visions.

It is the perfect size…small and I have loved this design ever since I saw it on Holly’s blog, Girls at Heart.

She has so many pretty things and I fell in love with this china!

I also wanted to pass along this recommendation. Have you seen the HBO series John Adams? It is out on DVD and we found it at our library.

How amazing! It is something you’ll want to see and I was so impressed with David McCullough, the author,  that I got the book from the library last night and started reading it as soon as I got home.

I’m glad it’s a rainy day and I have a brisket in the crock pot!

Here’s my book list for the past month.

“Autumn Blessings”

My husband and I have been blessed with 5 sons and 1 daughter …. and now 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.

We are thankful for them all and for today I would like to share a photo of our precious granddaughter.

Isn’t this the perfect Fall photo? Reminiscent of happy childhood days!

I just received another email of photos and want to include one more.

Boy fun!

Enjoy the weekend and all of the colors of the season!

Some of my favorite things!

I love the park where I walk … as you all know!

I don’t usually think about taking pictures of my car,

but it’s nice to have a fun car to drive around town!

I love CLOUDS!

Last night we went out to dinner and I took photos of the clouds and forgot to take photos of our family! But it was a wonderful evening and a delicious meal at Carrabba’s.

I love bookmarks and use the one I got from jen a long time ago!

Her blog is the fabled needle and she has wonderful things in her ETSY shop…especially prints and cards of her original art!

I won this handmade bookmark in a giveaway and it came all the way from Austria! I know I will enjoy it! Her blog is May all seasons be sweet to Thee !

It’s a lovely blog!

I also won this beautiful magazine from Glory River Primitives and she even autographed her article. Thanks Robby!

I would love to make this! Isn’t she talented?

A few more pretty things around my house…things that make it feel like Fall.

Enjoy your weekend!

Practicing with Windows Live Writer!

My friend, Brenda at the Cozy Little House

is trying to help me learn to use this!

Thanks girlfriend!
And thanks to my sweet hubby
for installing it!

I know it will be easier because I don’t have a super fast connection here at my condo. It’s fun to learn new things…. I keep telling myself ….over and over! heehee!

Finally some different FONTS! YAY!

The church next to my library has a neat pumpkin patch

so I stopped for a few pics!

And then after I walked for 40 minutes at the park yesterday, I grabbed my camera and walked a little more and took some photos.

I hope you’re having a wonderful day!DSCN2243

I’m at home trying to get caught

up on laundry, etc! DSCN2239

But those days can be nice, too!

Fall splendor!

God’s blessings

"Wednesday Wee Ones" Fall Photo Fun!

This little girl is by the artist, Heidi Pluszok

and she is just precious up close!

She is modeling the latest in Halloween fashions!

And loves getting a little extra attention at this time of year!

Enjoy your day!

Take time to PLAY!
And enjoy the holiday season!
Thanks for the wonderful comments about my dolls!
I thought I would add that this dress was made by a lady
that makes dolls dresses and sells them.
I bought a few when she first started selling them
and I'm not sure if she is still sewing or not
but they are all so well made from the cutest fabric!
I have made a few outfits for my dolls but I usually
buy them off the clearance racks at department stores.
I do not redress some of my dolls.
I have a collection of # 1 dolls that stay in their
original outfits year round and I have some Christmas dolls
that I don't redress.
The little bracelet is a fairy pin I found at Belk.
I tied a ribbon around it for my doll to wear.
I love my dolls and probably have around 200!
I have a doll room FULL and a few that have escaped
to other parts of the house and condo! lol

Sunset over the mountains

We went for a walk Friday evening

and this is what we saw back behind our condo.

We looked toward the mountains!

And this was our mountain Sunset!

I have not changed the color or modified these photos.

I am also learning to use

Windows Live Writer

and this is my first attempt!

Have a fabulous Tuesday!

I’ll just keep practicing! lol
