*Precious Gems*

We all treasure our ‘precious gems’!

I love having beautiful things on my dresser and nightstand!

 

I have collected vintage glassware

and even old jewelery boxes

to hold some of the vintage jewelry that I have...

 

But what are my precious gems?

All of you!

I get the best ideas from visiting my favorite blogs each day!

Today I went to Graphics Fairy and saw a beautiful project

by Girl in Pink ! So I saved an image from Graphics Fairy

and made this little card to hold an old clip on earring!

I distressed the card using brown KIWI shoe polish because Vicki at Rusty Rooster Vintage had just posted THIS POST showing us how! So now I have another way to display my treasures, using something I already had!

Sometimes you just have to STOP what you’re doing....

and COVER your SOAP!

This is not what I had planned to do today

but you probably know how we can get into a small project...

and get carried away!

I saw the idea on Funky Time and downloaded

the Heavenly Soap image HERE!

Then I used a pretty watercolor background from my friend Karen at a Scrapbook of Inspiration !

Looked on the Graphic’s Fairy blog to get the Swan image

and my whole day has been spent having FUN!

I was wondering what I would do with this old candy tin!

 

PERFECT!

Now it’s perfect! I tucked a seashell in the box!!!

Wait a minute! be back in a bit...hubby needs me...

‘Just use this lovely bath gel, sweetie!

We’re all OUT of soap!’

We were old and dusty!

But now look how sparkly and sweet we are!

 

I’ve used Bon Ami...’hasn’t scratched yet’...

for over 40 years...

good for bunnies AND chicks!

 

OH...and ducks! heehee!

I went for a little drive (on my own) one day to Dunnellon.

 

It’s not far from where I live and has a really neat downtown!

I lucked out....they were having an Antique fair!

Look at this little JELLO mold I bought!

(I added the grass and chick!)

I also wandered through room after room of Grumbles house

and found some neat things to add to my ‘decor’!

(and bars of my favorite Milk soap..not pictured!)
