Christmas is Comin’…vintage style!

And the thrift stores are bringing out the vintage Christmas items.

IMG_9046

It’s really my favorite time to shop.

I’m always looking for pixies and this was a funny find.

SantaPixieIMG_9048

A half of a pixie? No not even half! The smallest pixie head I have ever seen! But isn’t he sweet!

Everything here is a thrift find except the lighthouse and the candle tree.

And how about this bag of ‘abused’ Christmas trees. I had to work to fluff them out and make them stand up straight. (and yes the bag says 25 cents!)

IMG_9506

Not sure if I’ll leave them here but I had to get a photo!

I’m joining Thrifty Things Friday!

Also Katherine’s Corner,

Ivy and Elephants and

Jann for Share Your Cup

and Home Sweet Home.

Have you found any vintage Christmas items yet?

I sure would like to find a WHOLE pixie

…or two! heehee!

Haven't had time to hit the thrift shops, but they get pretty picked over, especially now after so many lost their homes in the flooding. I had wanted to comment on your doll room, but I missed it. LOVE. Hope you are warm. We are literally freezing. -6.

Those were some great finds and great deals! I can't believe that you not only found a bag of those little brush trees but that they were only .25c! Incredible! It looks like they fluffed up well. They're so cute! It's funny how the Santa looks like he's rolling his eyes. The little scene you set up with him, the elf, deer, house, etc., is cute. Happy Holidays!

I found a similar bag of trees at Goodwill a few years ago, but I know it was more than 25 cents. Great deal you found there.

Awesome vintage decorations! I love vintage and to me it seems to have so much more personality than present day decorations. Maybe it just brings back great memories but either way, I love it. You do such a good job of arranging them and I actually like all the trees gathered like that. It looks like a forest! Have fun decorating.

Thanks for sharing,

I used to have trees just like that in my Christmas garden when I was a kid. I guess that makes me vintage. LOL. I like the way you have them on that little stand. You should keep them there.

Hi Diane,

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving the sweet comment on the mini wreaths I made. I love simple projects and I don't have time for very involved project but thanks.

I love the vintage decorations you bought and the trees, I can't believe 25 cents it's like they are giving them to you for free. I have so many vintage decorations from my husbands mom! I love vintage anything. Take care and enjoy the holidays.

P.S. It was 60 degrees here today!

Diane,
You made those bottle bush trees look so nice. It kind of looks like a forest for the pixies. I just love Elves, and you have collected many of them. I would love to see them all together someday.

Gosh, I just bought some little trees and had to pay about 20 times that for half as many! There's no good thrifting around here, so you are really lucky!

I love your grove of "abused" trees!
What a find! They are great for holiday decorating or for around the train set.

I have bargained with myself to stay away from the thrifts this month. I am happy to say I have made it two weeks!
You make it hard when you post cute vintage items.
