This is a transition time for me
and I have so many changes happening
that I can't keep up most of the time!

But what a FUN time and how blessed I am with friends and family......and good food!

I made this Irish Soda Bread using the recipe from Charli and Me !
I found this recipe by going to Vee's blog! (thank you, Vee!!) OH MY!
It is SO good, I can not describe how good it is
and my photo definitely does not do it justice!

I did not put raisins in my bread because then I would have to eat ALL of it myself
and I think that would put me over the calorie limit for one meal!
My hubby and I had home made chicken and rice soup
and most of the Irish Soda Bread! YUMO !!!

More thanks for this beautiful felted heart pillow
that I won in the drawing at the Rose Hip blog!

I was amazed at the detail when I received it!

What a work of art!

Thank you sweet friend for this beautiful gift of love!
I hugged it when I took it from the box!

I also received my beautiful bird collage from My Hiding Place this week.

I won this in the One World One Heart event!
It's beautiful and my photo does not capture the beauty!
Won't it look pretty in my new red kitchen?

Happy Spring everyone!
And please sign up for my giveaway this week!

I am so glad that Be A Bird arrived safe and sound, and that you like him.
The OWOH event was wonderful, and I cannot wait to do it again next year.

hugs,

You called? LOL! Oh now see, this makes me want to make soda bread using Carol's recipe. We just finished up the one that I made...I tossed cranberries in instead of raisins and it was good. We toasted the leftovers and it reminded me of cranberry English muffins. I also baked mine off in a cast iron skillet, which worked beautifully!

Wow! Look at those wonderful won treasures. You may need to buy a lottery ticket. Both the felted heart (such a neat idea) and the collage are giving me itchy fingers.

Your heart pillow and the bird collage are terrific! You won some very nice gifts.

That soda bread looks yummy. My hubby made corned beef and cabbage but I didn't eat any of it.

Hi Diane,

I'm happy the pillow arrived safely and that you're so pleased with it -- it looks great on the green bed!... Sorry it took me so long to get back to you but I was away on a mini-holiday in Seattle with my kids (they're on spring break) and I just got back today...

P.S. Thanks for the sweet words!

It looks like it can be hand-made! I'm going to make a card for my friend using the idea. It's lovely!
...and congratulations on winning it! :)
