Hi Diane, What a treasure to find in the bush. It is beautiful too and the eggs are so pretty. Mother nature at her best. I love nests and enjoy painting them as well.
Thank you for sharing such a special part of nature.
Thank you for stopping by to visit the home tour of my friend. Your kind comments to her are very appreciated.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Hugs, Celestina Marie
OH those egglings! Just look at them, they look like marble! So shiny!
YOu are a woman after mine own heart with these books and eggs! Kindred gals, we are, we are ;) xoxo
ps: My Granny loved the mice, so I gave her one. She acted like I was introducing her to Tom Selleck, circa 1985. Funny, how our priorities change. It's all about your fab mice these days!! ;)
They might be Northern Cardinal Eggs - Nests of the Northern Cardinal are built by the female and are found in shrubs or vine tangle made of twigs usually 4-6 ft up. Clutches usually are from 2 to 5 eggs.
Like your Arkansas cousin would know, but I LIVE on the Internet! Love the photos!
Lavender has long been a favorite flower and color of genteel ladies. This shade of purple suggests refinement along with grace, elegance, and something special.

Those eggs really are pretty...hope that you find out what kind they are. Now you'll have fun with your little bird family for a while.
Baby birds are on their way. I wonder what kind they are.
Happy Saturday.

Beautiful! And so great after finding that book! I wonder what kind of birds they'll be.
What a great find with the book and at such a neat time, finding the nest and eggs.
Such fun and you might get to see the birds hatch out.
Hugs

Hi Diane!
Happy Sunday to you and your family!
Isn't that fun when you make that kind of discovery in your yard. Can't wait to see what hatches.
