Vintage cookbook and more!

This isn't the Fall cookbook I planned to buy

but it was a Goodwill find that I could not pass up!

It was written in 1951 by Heloise Frost
and illustrated by Ellen Nelson.

The front page says,
"Tested in the kitchen of a New England Housewife"

I can't wait to try some of the recipes!

And later that day I went by New Visions
and found these birthday candles!

Fairy candles....ahhhh!!
My day was complete!

Have a wonderful Friday!

Those candles just take me back to my childhood! It's funny how you don't even realize memories like that until something reminds you.

Your cookbook is so neat. I love the illustrations. :)

Would you believe I have that same cookbook and a box of fairy candles too? I have never made anything from the cookbook, just enjoyed the beautiful artwork. If you make anything in it, let me know how you like it.
BTW, I did get my little acorns at Michael's.

Have a nice weekend.

What a beautiful book you found - the illustrations are wonderful. You certainly found some treaurers on you shopping trip.
Looks like your "girls" are having fun at their tea party. They look so real - hard to believe from the photograph that they are dolls.
Have a lovely week.
Blessings,
Erin

I have that cookbook! Isn't is beautiful! I first saw it on Gold Country Girl's blog and fell in love with it, then hunted for a copy on ebay for myself and then ran into one at a flea market! I'm so happy you found one, too! Those candles are adorable! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Twyla
