“Art and Artists”

I have been so inspired by the artists I’ve met on the blogs I love! (an inspiring view of the sky today!)

I have a whole list in my favorites…just for artists! And I am blessed to have many artists in my family! My sister is amazing…and all four of my sons are gifted. I would like to do a whole post on my sons and their art soon.

My grand kids are all interested in art, too and my grand daughter gave me an art lesson when they were here, teaching me some techniques she is learning in the art lessons she is taking. (we worked on trees…mine is a little sparse!)

I would like to give a special thank you to Carmelina at Creative Carmelina for giving me advice on buying drawing pens. She told me exactly what she uses and where she buys them….and I took my coupon to Michaels and got a great deal on them.

They are so smooth and easy to use that they glide over the page.

I know I need practice but I am going to try to spend the summer enjoying my art!

Thanks to ALL of you talented and creative ladies that inspire me every day with your wonderful blogs! What a difference you make in my life! Wish I could give you all a HUG!

Do you have any special creative projects you are working on this summer?

Diane, from the little glimpses that you have shown us, you appear to be quite the artist yourself! I hope that when you "showcase" your sons' work, you include some of your own! :o)

Stick people are my forte! but those sketches of yours are fabulous, so detailed, nearly 'alive'. Love the little people best ... the bird looks ready for flight.

You are amazing, my friend.

Have a lovely summer's eve ~

I'm always inspired by artists, not that I am one, maybe a little bit, or at least I used to be..., I just admire the pursuit of self expression..., which to me is self love. And you are very talented!!

Oo i love your sketches, especially the one of the bird! I wish I could draw like that. I have some of those pens too, but they are still sitting in the package...a lot of good that is doing, but I get intimidated. Anyway, I saw your blackberry cobbler earlier, and my mother taught me that same recipe! I make it all the time for my hubby! So much better with fresh berries huh?

Oh Diane, your drawings are so cute. I hope you do a post on your son's talents as I would love to read (and see) it.
I'm afraid my drawing skills are limited to stick people. My son, however, does having a talent for drawing, but he can't be bothered.
