You can never have too many....

SHELVES!

DSCN7299

When we moved into our home here in Florida,

I brought my desk that has a lower desk for my sewing machine.

My sweet hubby hung my Catherine Holman Folk Art

prints above each desk! (and the first cross stitch I ever made)

I love being surrounded by artists that inspire me!

Here's my 'Lavender Cottage' by Catherine Holman!

And he put up some narrow shelves to display pretties on!

So what do I need now?

More shelves!

I love having the space to sew and do craft projects!

I can't wait to get my new shelves loaded with pretty things!

Have a wonderful week!

Update....hhhmmmm....

when I looked at this post, I thought,

this is not 'boring to better'! EMPTY SHELVES? heehee!

But I need to decide what to put on them! Art? Craft projects?

Thrift finds? what nots and doo dads?

So that will have to wait for another post!

So here is something that I think is 'better than boring' !

DSCN0881

I found this sweet little tea cup at the thrift store....

DSCN0883

isn't it precious?! The design goes into the inside of the cup!

There's even a sweet little violet on the bottom!

Have you ever seen one like it?

I'm linking with Kim at Savvy Southern Style

for the 'Boring to Better' party!

Hi! So lovely to find your beautiful blog. I love your cross stitch. I haven't stitched for a while since our beautiful bubbies entered our lives, but I certainly used to. My brother called it my 'stress stitch'! Hugs to you. Emma.

What a sweet teacup! My grandmother's name was Violet. I can't have enough shelves. Isn't it nice having your sewing machine where you can just whisk something along and get it done? I see that I'm going to like that very much.

I'd put my sewing and craft stuff on those shelves. Easier to remember what you have and use it when you can see it. However, I also love having pretty things around me.

Thanks so much for following my blog. I just followed yours as well.

Wow, your little space is full of 'toys'! I can imagine you must be a happy one when working at that corner. I like your 4 frames in the 3rd pic.

You are so lucky to have a place set up to sew! I drag my machine to the kitchen table! Love how you have added special touches and the shelves!
