I thought you might like to see a few common shells from Florida. These are all shells I’ve picked up on the beaches on the Atlantic Coast. (except for one)
I was inspired by my girlfriend,
Della from Del’s Shells.
She sent me the beautiful Sand Dollar in the middle of the mosaic.
I’ve also put a few Spring things in the lanai today.
So now I have ducks and shells on the coffee table to enjoy! (and maybe a chick!)
I’m joining Mary at the dear little red house
for Mosaic Monday! I hope you’ll join us, too!
Have you seen signs of Spring at your house this weekend?

Della is the best and what a sweet gift. I'm so in the mood for the beach and some shells. Did you see my tiny shell themed waterfall I put in my bedroom the other day? I love to play with the shells.
Oh- How cute! I used to love shelling when I lived in FL. I used to go to Sanibel Island early and would sometimes be the only person out there...not anymore! xo Diana
Love your shell collection, I've never seen a spiny oyster before, what a beautiful shell! Love your new Easter display, the ducks and chick look quite happy to be in the lanai with your lovely shells! No Spring here yet, we had 4 inches of snow yesterday!
I just love to see your shells, no signs of spring here, but I heard a robin today.
I love that you added the name of the shells, too. Lovely mosaic.
Have a great week...
Funny to see the differences between your lovely mosaic and mine! Yes, we are very simpatico.

You really have some great shells. Love the little duckies with them! Hugs, Linda
Diane, I love shells and to be able to pick them up right near where I live would be incredible.
They are so pretty. Nice touch with the ducks, they look like they are swimming in water.

Susan
Love your mosaic, your shell boxes, and display! So pretty!
The signs of spring are all around us. Everything is beautiful, it's warm, and the trees have leaves!

Thanks for sharing your shell collection. They are lovely! Like me, you can't resist a pretty shell. It is great that you display and enjoy them.
Hi Diane,
I love sea shells. While in Hawaii in Oct. we stayed in a beach house justs steps away from the ocean. It was beautiful, we collected sea coral, not many hole sea shells were washed up on our beach. Your collection is so fun, I love the sand dollars..if only we could spend them...LOL. Also the star fish is one of my favorites. A really pretty post!
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
What a wonderful collection of shells you have Diane. Little ducky's look right at home. They may, however be missing a bit of water. Friday I spent the entire day in the garden. It was gorgeous. This morning we woke up to 2" of snow. Welcome to UT. It will melt fast and just give our flowers and lawns a good drink. Nothing blooming yet, just lots of things popping up.
Hugs,
Jann
Oh this mermaid NEEDS to get back to her Mermaid Cottage in Florida!! All these posts!! I miss it there! Hopefully by the end of the week!
Del is the best!
And your collection is fabulous!!

Loved to walk the beach in Corpus Christi and look for shells. You have beautiful Sand Dollar. They were abundant there but usually trampled underfoot. So we treasure the ones we have! Have a wonderful week! Cathy
What a great collage you made of the shells.
Yes, spring has arrived. The bulbs are starting to poke their heads out. Have a wonderful week:)
Love your shells. Can tell you live in Florida! :D :D :D Your little ducks and chick are adorable ... SPRING!!!!
What a beautiful shell collection. I wish the shores of Lake MI included shells. We have fun collecting rocks, but your shells are just lovely.
It always amazes me when someone has something so beautiful in literally their backyards....
You have picked a great place to live.

Hi Diane, I love your shells and the little ducks are so adorable.
If I can stop painting long enough, I will make some shell displays today. You have inspired me!
I love yours!

Diane, your shell collection is lovely. It is nice to put a name to some of the shells we saw on the beach.
Spring is here for us with tulip bulbs about 2 inches out of the ground.

Oh, yes. Spring has sprung. The Lady Banks rose bushes are full of blooms!!! Love the shell mosaic!
The shells are beautiful!
Beautiful shells. I remember when I was in grade school one of our project is to make shells form into ways you can think of. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Mosaic Monday
I adore sea shells, as you know. Looks so summery! Love the ducks. Too cute.
The best vacations we ever had was when we took our 2 daughters to Florida when they were in grade school. Our friends took us to the Sanabel Beach outside of Fort Myers and the girls searched for shells. They had the best time ever. I found some too and still have them. They always bring back good memories of a fun time.
Susanne :)
I love what you've done with the shells and ducks. Adorable!
I am hosting a giveaway tomorrow. I hope to see you there.
Blessings,
Gina
Your little duckies look right at home with your sea shells, Diane! Yay spring!!
Diane ~ I LOVE your ducks and seashells. They look sooo much like spring/summer. Spring is hitting here in Ontario and we are just loving it because it's early ;-)

What sweet little duckies looking all at home among those pretty shells. Can't wait to see your Easter decor!
I WANT a baby computer too, so I can take it to bed with me at night and do some more blog visiting. Can you take yours to bed and read? How neat that would be!!
How sweet!!!
Hello name mate! Thank you for this learning opportunity. I don't know such classification and description of shells, considering I came from a country surrounded by beaches. Shame on me LOL
Your shells are just gorgeous! What an awesome collection!!
