I’ve always loved this quote, which is actually a Jewish Proverb, “God could not be everywhere, so He created Mothers.”
I am very blessed with lots of kids and grandkids.
I am also blessed with a wonderful husband who surprised me with an early Mother’s day outing.
He took me to Blue Sky for lunch...which included Sweet Potato fries...oh my! And then drove over to Diamond Brand to buy me some new hiking shoes.
I have hiking boots but I don’t always wear them for a ‘day hike’ so the sales person at Diamond Brand helped me find these lighter weight hiking shoes. They will be perfect for the type of hiking we do now. (good tread on the bottom)
So I am excited to get new shoes for Mother’s day! Just what I wanted!

I am happy that you got some new shoes! I am down to about 3 pair that I can wear now because of some inflammation that has reared its ugly head (or foot). I got rose bushes instead...and am waiting for the mailman to drop them off.
