When everything smells nice...

it puts you in a really good mood!

I finally decided on a  beginner’s set of Essential Oils! Thanks to my girlfriend, Jess for helping me decide! I appreciate all of the wonderful comments and great info that you all gave me. I printed my comments out to keep as a reference!

I ordered them from Amazon HERE and they are exactly what I wanted! (for under $50)

Then we were at our favorite health food store, Earth Fare and I found the Aroma Diffuser. Also perfect!

It has lights that show up at night or you can set it for just mist during the day. You also choose a time from 30 to 180 minutes to have it on.

We’ve tried lavender and bergamot so far and love them both. My birds look like they are coughing from the ‘smoke’! heehee!

Other wonderful scents that have come into my home are the soaps I ordered from Cranberry Morning’s store, Homemade Soap ‘N’ Such.

The one I opened up right away to try was Dark Vanilla Bean. It is amazing! It lathers well and smells divine. It leaves a hint of vanilla on your skin, too. I can’t wait to try other scents.

I ordered 4 bars and she sent a travel size Mandarin Orange Spice!

DSCN2175

I even got one for babies...a gentle soap with no scent. I thought this would be good for washing my face...it’s sensitive.

I’m having a nice day and enjoying some sweet scents! I love lavender and vanilla best.

What is your favorite scent?

Lavender, bergamot, sandalwood, lemon, rose, lilac, oh dear, my list is really long, I love many scents. I love lavender most of it and use it everywhere: in laundry, around the house, and in my garden! :)

Diane, it all sounds wonderful. I love the scents oils and I am a nut for handcrafted soaps. Cranberry Morning is one of my idols. I plan to order some of her soaps for gifts. I too love lavender, bergamot, love the one that smells like the sea too. Mint is a miracle for a headache. Enjoy, hugs

Can't beat vanilla, right? My favorite scent to wear is Egyptian Goddess. It makes me giggle just to confess it as I am no Egyptian goddess. Ha! We have not used our diffuser since that first time a couple of years ago now. It literally knocks us out. Perhaps we need some citrus scents to wake us up.

Thank you Diane, for the great review of my handcrafted soaps!!:-) It is fun to see your photos and to know that you're enjoying them.

Of course I love all the soaps I make, but probably my favorite scent is from my Mandarin Orange Spice, but then there's vanilla... rose...apple... Oh good grief, there are way too many scents I love. lol

Again, thank you so much for the nice review. :-)

Most scents and I don't get along well because of my allergies and asthma but I love the smell of cinnamon in the air when I'm baking. My sister used to make and sell soaps and she made an herbal spice one that was a favorite or mine.

Aren't all the smells wonderful? My favorite is lavender and I have it all over the house.

There is no going back to Glade now. I got into aromatherapy back in the 80's. It was a trend yet & everyone just thought you were a little quirky. My favorite scents are the citrus. Grapefruit seed oil is good for everything. It is an anti-fungal. It will do everything from healing a rash to sanitizing a jacuzzi.

Ooh, you know how I love such pleasant fragrances. Does it linger long enough? Must check out the page, but the soaps are really calling my name. Vanilla has always been one of my favorites scents. Also love citrus, but at the top of my list is pumpkin spice for the home. Autumn is my favorite season, so I can't help it. ;) For summer it would be citrus or coconut. :) Sigh...I can almost smell it all now.
YOU KNOW I love visiting.
Have a lovely weekend, my friend.
MUAH!

I have been using essential oils for many years now. Although I love my favorite perfumes, there is just something so compelling about essential oils. I love vanilla too but I also life lime and rosemary. Enjoy!

Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

Now I want to get into essential oils! I know the scents are stronger and last longer than the other stuff. That's a plus!

My fave scents are citrus and sandlewood. Anything earthy and fruity!

I use different scents depending on what I feel I need. Sometimes I use Lavender in my bath....others geranium or bergamot to get me going. Juniper is a sharp smell to wke you up...etc...etc... Enjoy trying them out and deciding which suit you. Joan

I love having scent throughout the home, too. I prefer a soap that leaves a natural scent on the skin, like these, not heavy. I'll have to try one of those kits, too.
Have a great weekend.

My favourite scent is orange blossom. Years ago, I had a place at Bradenton, FL - before all the orange groves were razed to make way for subdivisions. In the winter, you could smell the scent of orange blossoms on the air whenever you were outside. The scent still transports me back to FL and those halcyon days!

I just made my first batch of essential oil mosquito repellant for the summer. Works for us without all the icky chemicals!
