What is your favorite TV program? I know some of you don’t watch much TV…I don’t either. But we’ve decided to get cable TV for the winter months and I want to be selective about what I watch.
(I hope there are still some reruns of Andy Griffith!)
When we were staying at a hotel last week, we watched American Pickers on the History Channel and it was really good.
(I thought this was a new show but I see it has been on the air for almost 3 years! I guess I can watch their reruns, too! LOL)
So do you have a new show that you would recommend or even a network that you watch more than the others? It’s going to be fun to have Turner Classic Movies, AMC, TV Land, the History Channel, Hallmark, HGTV and the weather channel. (and a few other channels)
What do you like to watch?
Would I like it too? heehee!

Ohh there are so many...
Happy weekend xx
I watch more History, Discovery, Travel, and Animal Planet than anything else. There really isn't much on during prime time on the main networks that interests me. American Pickers is one of our favorites :)
we love the History Channel!! Yes we do and Discovery channel, TLC and National Geographic channel, we also like the oldies channel, and PBS channels, we love the BBC too, I don't watch day time tv but it goes on at 6 pm for our local news and then its on until midnight, I will not be a hypocrite, ILOVE TV!!!!
Don't watch it much but I have a few favs: Grey's Anatomy on Thursday and Revenge on Sunday. I also like Private Practice on Tuesday but it's hard for me to stay up that late! Not sure if you'll like those or not!

If you like American Pickers, you might also like Abandoned on the National Geographic channel.

We enjoy the American pickers, Undercover boss and wheel of fortune, these are about all that Jim and I watch together. I like movies and he likes sports! We have not left yet, car problems!
I hardly watch TV. However, I do like American pickers when I have watched it. I also like food network:)
Duck Dynasty will change your life ;D. I also watch The Middle - hysterical look at family life. House Hunters International is addicting. Dang, it's a new world at your house. Wait till you discover the on demand function of cable.
Like you, I don't watch a lot of television...in fact none during the day. I do turn it on around 6:00 p.m. and catch news on MSNBC, but for enjoyment I like Chopped, House Hunters (both here and international), Castle, Covert Affairs, Last Resort, Elementary, NCIS (do you see a pattern:-D, and Shark Tank. I detest reality shows and find nothing about reality in them, but then that's me. XOXO
We don't have TV but we do watch DVDs of British dramas and some British documentaries. I think you'd love Downton Abbey!

Watch "Call The Midwife" on PBS. You'll love it! Takes place 1950's England.
I wouldn't miss Andy Griffith every evening at my house.
"The Big Bang" on CBS is funny, about 4 nerdy young Physics Professors.
that's about all I watch, also love TCM old black and white movies!
(I'm OLD!) :-)
Oh Diane, there is sooo much I couldn't even begin. I do have diverse taste. My favorite show is "Castle" on Monday nights at 10 PM. I am a night owl so this is early for me. It is on ABC. It is a show I think your hubby will enjoy watching with you. I love Scandal on Thursdays, also 10 PM on ABC,but that is more racy (as the title implies!). I could be answering this all day. :) xo
I love TV and must admit to watching lots of shows. HGTV is for sure one of my favorites! I like drama's and watch many on network tv. Have you watched PBS Downton Abbey? AMAZING!
hugs, Linda
For me it's Antiques Roadshow, American Pickers, American Restoration and Pawn Stars...do you see a pattern here? I can watch marathon reruns of any of those! I also like Castle, Elementary and NCIS. Enjoy!!!
Hubby and I watch alot of Halmark movies on the week-ends. Sappy happy movies.
I like Junk Gypsies but have only seen it a couple times but loved it. Cash and Cari is a favorite if I can find it. Alot of the good HGTV shows are on at weird times. Way too many House hunters on. I like American Pickers too.
I watch discovery, history, nat geo..
Turner classics..
But tv is a preference.. its what you like to watch.
we all have different likes.
Here in Europe we have different programmes, but most are world wide viewing these days.
I especially like to keep up with world news.
I do love to watch nature shows, but funny for me and my family is we watch reruns of Star Trek Voyager almost every night! I did also find that I think The Cake Boss is pretty fun!
Bless you and have fun with your cable! We just do Netflix!
Susie
We like to watch several shows. Sometimes I get tired of the murdering/law shows, but we just watch the first few minutes, and if it's too gorry, we delete.
We do like a new show called Chicago Fire.
We always watch the Amazing Race as they show so many parts of the world. My husband loved Survivor.
I've been watching Project Runway All Stars on Lifetime.I hear that Army Wives is coming back on, and I hope so as that is a wonderful show.
We're hoping they start a new season of Junk Gypsies on HGTV as the daughter of a friend of ours works for them. It is a delightful show of using junk to decorate with.
Hi dear - Don't watch much TV, but when we do we turn to TCM (love the old movies) or History...and I love American Pickers. We also watch Chopped on the Food Network, and some of the other shows on there as well.
I can't really stomach any of the modern shows (too much 'junk'..if you know what I mean)...I'm an old fashioned gal.
Oh..one more channel we get is INSP (Inspirational Channel). It is chuck full of old shows and old westerns (think Bonanza, Dr. Quinn, Little House, Waltons, Big Valley)
Thanks for visiting Zetta's today! I've been a Trekkie since I was 12...so I am a bit of a nerd. That is why Big Bang Theory is my fav. Sometimes my old favorite Star Trek actors visit the show...it's hilarious. I also love Once Upon a Time, Castle and Rizzoli and Isles. =D
Mine are pretty much the same channels. I have been watching the new show, Nashville on ABC though and I am liking it so far!
Love the pickers, they were in our area not so long ago!
Cathy

I'm really not much of a TV watcher, but I do enjoy local news, History Channel, and of course HGTV. OK, I'll admit to watching The Waltons and Big Valley reruns now and then.
We love American Pickers and The Big Bang Theory but Ghostie shows are our wicked indulgence (Celebrity Ghost Stories, Long Island Medium). And Once Upon a Time and Modern Family. Hmmm, I guess we watch more TV than I thought!
I think you are set. I'd love to have the Hallmark channel. I see their posts on Facebook...a made for TV Christmas movie every day! I'd love that. I love Downton Abbey and Wartime Farm, Edwardian Farm and Victorian Farm...PBS.
So Diane, which ones were perplexing you, I know that I had a few today....can't tell which way they went.
Jen
I don't watch a lot of TV - but I love Dance With The Stars. sandie
I don't watch T.V. any longer, but I do have a DVD of Andy Griffith episodes I watch...just watched it the other day. I wish T.V. was as fun and wholesome as it once was....blessings
Are you ready for me to mail you your little package?
Go to my doll blog and see the little dolls I won :)
My hubby is completely addicted to American Pickers and Pawn Stars!!!!
There are so many. I like Hallmark (they run old Golden Girls late at night). I am not much into a lot of the new shows but I love Downton Abbey (PBS) and I really like The Mentalist a lot. I am kind of a news hound and keep CNN on a lot and the History Channel fascinates me. You will have a lot of fun finding your favorites. xo Diana
My Hubby and grandson love to watch American Pickers, Gold Rush and the restoration show(can't remember the name). I prefer to curl up and watch a movie on the Lifetime channel.
I am "hooked" on The Discovery Channel and Animal Planet, as well as The Learning Channel. I have Direct TV, but my mother has cable and she also gets those channels. We also both love TV Land and Nick at Night. 'Just the child in us I guess, lol!
Sorry, but I'm no help. We only have Netflix. It's great until you've watched all the great old movies and TV shows they offer. Now it seems there's not much left to watch. Good luck!
"Shark Tank" on ABC - Friday nights is great! I'll be cheering on Boston College tonight when they host ND. :)
~Judy
