I love my life and I’m grateful for every day of it. It’s important to be happy with each day you’re given and not wait for something special to be happy.
My girlfriend, Diane from Diane Writes posted this awhile back and I thought it was excellent.
So is my word Happy?
Not this year…for 2013 I’m choosing
BELIEVE !
It means a lot of different things to me and I think it will take on new definitions as the year goes by.
I BELIEVE I can be happy and grateful for the life I have. We all have good and bad in our lives. Last year was one of my best years ever…but it came with some sadness, too. Life is a challenge but we all have a choice as to how we handle things.

You definitely make me think about these things, Diane. I don't think I've ever had a "word" but it does set a precedence for the year. Hmmmmm, I guess my word would be Hope. I hope for peace and goodwill towards all; I hope that not another women lose her life to breast cancer...or any cancer; and I hope the Redskins win the Super Bowl--LOL! I threw that one in for my husband! XOXO
Believe is a great word! I haven't a word but am thinking about which word I'd choose and when I do decide I'll let you know. I do believe that there are all sorts of wonderful things ahead of us this year. Hugs

Believe is a perfect word Diane. It has such a positive feeling to it and that's how we need to look at a new year. :) I'm going to check out the course.

That's a great attitutde to have Diane. After all, they say positive energy brings more good things your way. I don't really do the word for the year thing, but believe is a great one to have. Hope you're having a great weekend!

Hello Diane, It has been a while since I have visited and I loved reading your post. It is full of inspiration and I so agree with your word believe. I too choose to be happy and believe we make our own happiness. My mom always told me that and it stuck,
