I am so excited to be participating again this year! I sent out a lot of letters and cards last year and received many in return. I treasure them all and especially the friendships they forged.
So here’s the challenge from Mary’s website HERE…
- In the month of February, mail at least one item through the post every day it runs. Write a postcard, a letter, send a picture, or a cutting from a newspaper, or a fabric swatch.
- Write back to everyone who writes to you. This can count as one of your mailed items.
All you are committing to is to mail 23 items. Why 23? There are four Sundays and one US holiday. In fact, you might send more than 23 items. You might develop a correspondence that extends beyond the month.
Write love letters, thank yous, or simply notes to say that you miss an old friend. Let yourself step away from the urgency of modern life and write for an audience of one. You might enjoy going to the mail box again.
Now for the fun part from ME,
Lavender Dreamer!
Would you like to receive a note from me?
Look at the top left hand corner above my photo and click on Lavender Dreams to get my email address and send me your mailing address.
You don’t have to take part in the challenge to get something from me!
Just send me your address!
Who wants to get mail from Florida?
PS Please don’t worry that this will be too much for me! Last year I extended the letters and cards through March and sent a total of 58 cards, postcards and letters all over the world…yes, I kept a record in my journal.
IT’S FUN! I LOVE to do it!
(And you are NOT obligated to write me back.)
PLEASE email me!!!

Diane, I want to get sunshine and warmth from Florida. Can you send that in the mail? It's cold here in Ark. laurie
Diane I remember you did this last year! I think I'll join you and give it a try! I do love to get mail so sending it is pretty great also. I sent a tag and note to my friend Deb as my first mailing! Hugs, Linda
If I weren't going to school, I'd participate as I did this last year and that how we connected, so it's a great challenge. But I write letters all the time, so... but I'd love to get a letter from you!
I would love to get a letter from you! Sounds just wonderful!
Thank you, Jaja
Do you realize you have 1,309 followers? That could end up costing you $602.14 at the bare minimum if everyone said yes...you are one brave and rich woman! lol Not to mention the time it would take....I am really interested to know how many you will actually have say they want you to send them something....
I would love it, but the expense could be overwhelming. Perhaps you should have a drawing and select 23 names. It's a fun challenge!
This sounds like fun! How can I get in on this? :)
Robyn

I love getting your comments on my blog...so I have already sent you my address. can't wait for your letter. This sounds so fun.
Today if you can spare a minute, please pray for Nana Diana's brother. I always check her post 1st thing in the mornings and she asked for prayers for her brother. thank you.xoxoxo,Susie
I wish I didn't already have a ton of work on my plate to finish this month; I would have love to take part in this challenge, XOXO
Diane, This post makes me smile as I send and receive so much mail daily, the post office is considering giving me my own zip code! I see that you are from Arkansas! That is one of the states I have yet to get mail from. I just got Mississippi; so I'm getting close! Have a lovely weekend, a foot of snow expected here! Elizabeth
What a lovely thought Diane! Wish I could participate but there are no mail service on this tiny island (need to cross to mainland by ferry).
With families overseas, a sponsor child in Honduras, and being a Soldier's Angel for too many years to count, I think I match the requirements! I am forever with a pen in my hand and often purchase postcards, stationery etc...Ah! There is nothing like receiving a written word, particularly when you are on the war front!
As to your offer, what a lovely idea! I visited Florida twice and enjoyed discovering Tarpon Springs and Bush Garden in early Spring (a good thing too as I am not used to sun!)
Blessings Dear Lady,
Diane, I am SOO excited to find you and this idea!!! I have done a few posts over the last 2 1/2 years (I'm a very slow blogger...only 67 posts in all that time) about real mail, and offered to send postcards from my travels but only had a few takes. I love to get postcards and keep them ALL--my family and friends know to send them to me. I will email you my address, and them I'm off to see the challenge! I hope I'm not too late to join! Linda
Hi Diane! Have fun with this! I began it last year, but I didn't do very well... :(
So, I won't be joining in this year. BUT you know I do still hand write a few notes every now and then! :)
How fun! I could never commit to such a task, but I sure admire you for taking it on!
Receiving handwritten notes is always priceless namemate. I would love to receive one from you :)
Please send me one of those beautiful sunrises! :D
Such a fun idea!!!

RJ
