My Favorite Day….’Wash Day’

I actually like to do laundry and hand wash things. But for some reason, I kept putting little doilies in the basin above the washer when I found them at the Thrift Store until I had a BIG wash day!

But I still find a lot of joy in hand washing pretty doilies and putting them around my tub to dry.

I found these cute little baby outfits for 5 cents each and washed them, too. I wonder if any of my girl dollies can wear one? I have some boy dollies but the girls like to change clothes more often! heehee!

5¢? Wow. Everyone can afford to have more babies! ☺ The outfits are cute.

I really like the white and lime green (?) doily...so beautiful. Well, they all are, but that one just takes the eye. It's going to look great somewhere in your home.

My grandmother used to make THE best doilies. We went on a search for some this past weekend, and finally found them, but it was hard!! I didn't realize they were becoming difficult to find.

Yours are great and I like your little baby clothes. :)

Visiting today from the Thursday's Favorite Things hop.

The doilies are really pretty! They have such a nostalgic feel to them. I have some that my husbands mother and grandmother made, some of them are very old. Hand wash only, for sure :)

The baby boy clothes remind me of the outfits my son wore when he was a baby :)

AND! I love the way you have these shells displayed, and the large and smaller pink scallop/giant clam dishes are gorgeous!

I must chuckle at the rompers...my, the souvenirs! Son wore such and one actually looks very familiar!
I like handwashing Diane as well but thank the Lord everyday for a washer for the large items!

I'm glad I'm not the only one-I don't mind doing laundry at all-even hand washing and I also love to do dishes rather than use a dishwasher-ok I guess the dishes thing may be weird but at least with the laundry I'm not alone ;-)

Hi Diane!
What a kind comment you have left on my blog. I love meeting other ladies who are still in love with their sweet husbands. It's such an amazing gift to have a best friend for decades. God knew just what He was doing when He designed marriage.
I love your pretty doilies and they look so fresh and clean all lined up to dry. Don't you just love thrifting and finding these lovelies? Today I went thrifting and found a beautiful tatted doily for 50 cents. It will need a little handwashing, too.
Thanks for blessings my day, my dear friend.
