Someone’s in the kitchen with Dinah….

someone’s in the kitchen….I know….I know!

SpoonsIMG_3341

Because I would NEVER put this much butter in the skillet to fry eggs! heehee! Really I wouldn’t! It’s been a long time since we cracked open an egg and it had a double yoke! YUMMY!

And look what I found at the thrift store….

SpoonFridgeIMG_3344

It has holes on the back to actually hang it on the wall but I think I’ll glue magnets to the back and put it on the fridge. Do you read Dear Helen Hartman? I think she would call this Kitchen Kitsch! (it’s plastic)CCIMG_3339

I bought a few old cookie cutters, too!

I’m joining Time Travel Thursday ,

and Thrifty Things Friday!

Also Katherine’s Corner for Favorite Things

and Jann for Share Your Cup !

Hi Miss Lavender Dreams,

Oh boy, keep those mountain pictures coming....Mom is so excited about seeing the NC mountains. Today she is contacting a realtor, we are going up to Weaverville in September to look for a new house. I'm going to be a "mountain bear". (o:

Thank you for the bee-u-tee-ful picture. Oh, love your measuring set, really retro.

Hugs,
Prudence ♥

Is Wendy with you?

Seeing those eggs frying brought back memories of my dad making breakfast on Saturday morning (my mom got to sleep in to 8:00 a.m.). He would do a slab of bacon in the cast iron skillet and without draining the fat, fry eggs! No wonder I can't eat a fried egg to this day!! Love the vintage measuring spoons and cookie cutters, XOXO

Oh, a double yolked egg! I think I've only cracked open one in my lifetime with two yolks! :) I love the little measuring set. It's darling!
Hope you're doing well.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Those measuring spoons are the cutest thing, ever!! Love them!

Cute little measuring spoons! I really like the old-fashioned cookie cutters and keep mine in a big old clear glass cookie jar. I don't use them as they work terribly, but I do love their shapes.

Those measuring spoons are too cute. Helen would love them also. The cookie cutters would look nice hanging on a Christmas tree. xoxo,Susie

Hi Diane! I LOVE the measuring spoon set! Adorable! Never seen anything like it. And those cookie cutters are the same type as my mom's Xmas shaped ones. "Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah....." I haven't heard or thought of that song in YEARS!! So glad I stopped by!!
P.S. I have the same memories as Susan in the above comment. Cast iron skillets for everything...especially bacon and eggs! :)

Cute spoon set! I have a few of those old cooky cutters and still use them sometimes. Not that I make cookies all that often. Haha!
When I saw your title, my first thought was "Dinah Shore". Remember her show? I always liked her. (telling my age here!)
Have a great day.

I love finding a double yolk egg! It's been a couple of years since I've seen one...probably because I haven't bought jumbo eggs often. The little measuring spoons are darling and so cheerful and I think my mom used to have similar cookie cutters when I was a child.

YUM! How I LONG for a good, fried egg! I got a few goodies at garage sales last Saturday and at a vintage market. Trying to get some of them 'made over' in the evenings!

Love the hangie thing. So cute. And those twin eggs speak right to my heart. :)

I just finished sprucing up and restocking my booth at the mall. I picked up a lot of neat finds during our recent travels. Always fun.

The fruity measuring spoon set is really cute. I like your idea to attach magnets to the back. Yes, I think we very well could be sisters separated at birth! ;-)

Oh yes, very kitch! And the butter with the eggs?...I remember when I used to put the bread in too to make fried bread (heart attack on a plate!). This week's finds...Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross Station in London. Yes there is one! Take care. Chel Potter!!!

Nope....no fun finds around here....I'll have to enjoy looking at your cute fun finds! It's funny because several months ago I had about three double yolk eggs within a short amount of time. :D It doesn't happen often around here, either.

Cute treasures...
been a long time for me, too, to find a double yoke....since I don't like eggs, it always freaks me out when I see TWO yolks. hahhaa...

I haven't been thrift shopping or to any garage sales yet this week. Maybe over the weekend. :)

Cute finds! Lovely mountain photo too. I stopped at a couple garage sales today. Nothing interesting except three large flower pots, never used, all for one dollar. Couldn't pass that by!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my little envelopes with paper buttons. I love to find double yolks--I got about 8 in one carton a few years ago. Always makes me smile! Love your thrift shop finds. I found a lovely Alice in Wonderland clock with pendulum that inspired a new vignette in my craft room. I'll be showing that on my blog this week. I would love for you to link up some of your vintage finds with my Vintage View Sunday blog party. www.sundayview.blgospot.com

Best,
Laura
