We drive through Northern Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and into Western North Carolina when we travel between our two homes.
We listen to music and enjoy the sights along the way.
I fill my hubby in on blog news, too! After all, he’s trapped in the car…where can he go! And he likes to know what all of my blog buddies have been up to…what’s ‘new’ in blogland.
(Peach trees loaded with peaches!)
It’s fun to get to our destination and look at the photos I’ve taken.
You just never know what you’ve captured until you view them on the computer.
And I always travel in style!
Hubby cut the roses before we left and I put them in the door of the car.
I’m joining Beautiful Sunday,
and Amaze me Monday!
Do you like to take the road less traveled?

What a sweet idea to put a rose in the door "vase." Yes, I prefer the road less traveled by a mile. Say! I didn't mix my metaphors this time. =D
What a beautiful shot for your banner Diane! Love it!
Thanks for sharing a little of your trip and tell hubby to drive safely!
On my way to the airport in a few minutes...(no vacation planned, just dropping someone...sigh...)
Happy day to you!
So pretty..I wish I cam come one day and see it too...
Hugs x
Oh, I love this post! Small town America is the BEST! Thank you for giving us a little taste of it from your trip to NC. And the rose in your car door - magical! Yes, we like to go the back roads and see the sights.
Yes My Sweetie always likes to take the roads less travels WHICH at times ends up Heavens knows where. LOL OH, I could see My self traveling in that PINK car.. Love it. OH, I would LOVE a peach orchard in our area. I look forward to seeing photos of your NC place you call HOME. Hugs Judy

I think of you two traveling down the roads....if it were not for seat belts, I think you would be sitting right next to him. Remember those days? I love the pink bug, wow. Be safe and have fun. xoxo,Susie
Beautiful, beautiful pictures as always. I too love your banner. What a lovely view. I too would rather take the road less traveled. Have fun!

i just added your blog to my reading list - and it is odd - it comes through without a name. :)
What fun! Loved the rose!
Have a wonderful time!! Can't wait to see many more photos!!
The rose in the door is so sweet, and I love the pink volkswagon that you captured on camera...I want one! Yes, I love to take the road less travelled as there is time to look and see things properly. Have a great week. Chel x
You always end up getting such great, random shots! Love the pink "bug". Now roses in the door of the car . . . that IS the way to travel! Been awfully busy with college graduation, getting girls off to Alaska for the summer, getting my garden in . . . finally hoping to get all caught up on blogs!
I can't think of many things I like as much as a fresh, juicy peach!
Lovely, fun pics.
Wonderful views! I wouldn't mind having a long drive if the view involves those greeneries!
Enjoy your vacation! Thanks for forever linking up :)
I love road trips! Looks like you have fun!
Linda
Think of all the geocaches you could be grabbing in all those states! Your hubby is a sweetie. Roses in the car....sigh....
Awww...that rose was so sweet. He must LOVE you! I laughed out loud when you said he was trapped in the car and you were filling him in on the blogs. I called my hubby in here (and he grudgingly came) to read that to him....and let him know that he isn't the ONLY one being tortured by all the blog news from his wife. :) We do love our blog life, don't we?
Looks like a lovely journey.
Great to have you at Seasonal Sundays.

I love rural America and small towns! The back roads are fun to explore, but when we travel we usually take the quickest way which is interstates. Don't care for them because of the traffic and the scenery is sometimes less than desirable.
Have fun and stay safe on your travels! Love the rose!
We love the beauty of rural America and take a drive when ever possible.
Your post is wonderful!
I enjoy road trips and the scenery. Cute shot of the pink "bug". I really love the shot of the cows and peach orchard. Your hubby is a great, the rose is a sweet idea. Lovely views and photos. Have a happy week ahead!
How sweet the roses in the car door. Enjoy your travels between homes and the sights.
Happy Memorial Day
XO
The drive is part of the fun to, and from Florida I have to agree although much further for us. We stick to the main highways as we're on a mission. :-)
Having a couple of roses beside you for the trip home was a special touch from your DH. Glad you weren't driving and taking the photos too Diane.

Oh yes, now you are up in our part of the world! You came to nice and cool weather, for as long as it lasts. We also like the back roads, and it sounds like our travel is much like yours. I love to snap pics out the car window and yes, you never know for sure, but sometimes the pic turns out quite well, as yours have here!
Sounds like a wonderful trip and a way to have some together time. Valerie
You certainly do travel in style...
Love the idea of the rose in the pocket.
