Traveling in Florida this Spring

We had fun taking some day trips and short vacations this past month and I thought I would share some of the sights we’ve seen driving up and down the road.

PalmsIMG_2200

I thought you might like to sit in the front seat with me and see the sights!

You just never know where we might end up…

or what we might see.

And a lot of it could be labeled ‘Only in Florida’!

Do you have any vacation plans for May?

Very nice. We travelled to Florida when we were younger and the kids were a nice age. Now they are married and they are enjoying Florida with the family and now my daughter and hubby just went to gether along to a beautiful place Melbourne Beach and loved it.Now where hubby and I live is a tourist attraction but my daughters cottage area is more popular for U.S.A visitors.
Wasag Beach it is like Florida beaches in Canada. Look it up on your browser. Thanks for your blog for sharing.

Good Afternoon Diane, Thank you for allowing me to sit in the front seat of your car, I loved my trip around Florida. I could just dip my toe in the sea.
When my mother was 80 (2 1/2 years ago) We took her to Florida, we drove from Atlanta and went to Amelia Island, and we all loved it.
I noticed the palms are exactly the same as the one's I saw in Chennai. I had not realised they grew like that, I had assumed it was because of the monsoons and wind.
Enjoy your beautiful sunny day.
Best Wishes
Daphne

We've traveled to Florida probably 8-9 times and I love all of it, but my very most favorite place is Key West!! I love that place. The sunsets there are the most fabulous I have ever seen. We were in Florida watching the space shuttle take off when it exploded. Such a sad time.

There are so many beautiful places to visit. My other favorite is Seaside. AWESOME!

It was fun traveling down the lane with you, my friend. Yes, we are going to begin to take short little ventures with our 2 dogs to get the pup accustomed to travel, starting this month~

Great photos of Florida, Diane! It's a beautiful state. Last weekend we were in NYC visiting our son and stopped into The Met (my fave museum) & saw the beautiful Impressionist/Fashion exhibit! :)

Guess where I went to high school? Dunedin High School. I was in the marching band and had to wear one of those WOOL kilts in the Florida heat! Lots of fun, though and very unique. You will have to try going to the Scottish Games ones spring! Ann

Beautiful photos! I haven't been to Florida since the kids were little. That was a long time ago! I remember very well getting stung by a jellyfish in the Atlantic. That hurt about as bad as giving birth! Made the trip very memorable...Haha!

I love your pictures. I live in Florida, so these pictures are reflective of my home state. I do like to go to the mountains for vacation, as it is such a cool refreshing change. But I still would not live anywhere else but sunny balmy Florida :-)

Canadians love to visit Florida in winter to get away from the cold. When I would visit my Mom and Dad who wintered in Wauchula I would fly into Tampa/Clearwater. I though I recognized the causeway. Valerie

Hello namemate! I'm such a bad party host. I failed to visit you and Fabby last week. I lost internet access so it's only now that I can blog hop again.

How I wish I could join you exploring the beautiful places in Florida. We have family friends who stay in N.Lauderdale. Though I don't often hear from them, I know that the entire state is blessed with a great weather and beautiful places. Someday, if I get rich I'll be able to see your hometown :)

Happy Mother's Day!
