We drove over to Payne’s Prairie to hike the trails and see the wildlife there on Mother’s Day.
Hiking boots in Florida? My TEVAs! lol
(I had my Don’t bug me insect repellant on!!!)
It was exciting to see the wild horses. You have to get off the beaten trail to get a photo of them! (thanks hubby)
And even though this is a beautiful spot for a picnic,
watch your step!
We saw this ‘cute’ little baby alligator down below the boardwalk.
What we didn’t see….was Mama Gator, but I’m sure she was close by!

Ackkkk...that baby gator could take your foot off! ☺ How close were you to him? Now see? This is why I live in Maine. I must remind myself of these things. Oh those horses are so pretty with their glossy coats in all that green, green field. Quite a sight!

Wild horses sound lovely but the baby alligator looked anything but baby size! Ouch! I shudder to think of Mum's size...
Must inquire about the bug repellant...mosquitoes have appeared and look to be on steroids!
