I stopped at the library and checked out a stack of books last week and actually read the MOST fun book by a new author. It’s her very first book and it had it all….good characters, humor, mystery and the wild mustangs of the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Foal Play by Kathryn O’Sullivan
I LOVED this book! I couldn’t put it down!
These didn’t make the cut.
And this is what I have to read for the weekend and coming week.
I’m joining Ricki Jill for Literary Friday .
Have you read a good book this week?
Stay safe and WARM!
Happy Weekend!

I'm doing a book review this week on "Born of Persuasion." It's one of the best books I've read in a long time.
I'll go check out Foal Play.
Enjoy your weekend dear friend. xo
I'm so glad you are a library user. The former librarian in me, wishes I had more time for reading. I keep making lists of things you have shared. Thank you!
I did read an excellent book: "Things That Matter" by Charles Krauthammer, Syndicated columnist and Fox News Contributor.
I love reading new author's first books so I'm putting Foal Play on my reading list.
Elizabeth George is one of my favorite authors! I read several of the Thomas Lynley series a couple of years ago. ~Pamelyn
It IS a good time to stay indoors, stay warm, and read a book! I'm reading G.K. Chesterton's 'A Short History of England.' and I find that with so many books on my Kindle, I tend to read several books at a time. lol
I was gifted several books by authors I met through Facebook. I have been pleasantly surprised because they were not my usual fare. And I must write reviews this weekend.
Being December I want to snuggle in and read something cozier but holiday related. At the thrift store I found a book about my home state I will give a try. It is called A Door County Christmas.
I love the library but in winter when I am not sure I can return things on time I take advantage of ebooks too.
I'm reading (when I have time) Sweet Expectations by Mary Ellen Taylor. It's nice on this winter nights to curl up with a book, cup a tea, and a kitty next to me:-D
This coming week?!? Oh my goodness, Diane, you're my book hero. I wish I had your patience. Enjoy, friend.
How's the weather up in Central Florida? It's beautiful down here in South Florida. I can see our pool as I type this, but it can sure use a heater this time of year, so I'll pass on the backstroke for now. :)
Shared my tag-ulous news this weekend. I met a local group of creative ladies and my tags are going to be put to more good use.
Thought you might like to hear that, sis. ;)
PS-LOVE your vintage Christmas pretties.
I"m always on the lookout for a good book.

I just started reading GONE GIRL. I can't put it down. Have you read it? Don't tell me anything! Ha
Visit my blog for a great giveaway this week http://japolina.blogspot.com/2013/12/another-giveaway-from-bowtie-kids.html
Oh, a cozy mystery, those are my favorite genre! I am slogging my way through Clockwork Angel right now and clearly am NOT unable to put it down.
I'm reading Christmas Bliss by one of my favorite authors Mary Kay Andrews. Her books are always a good read.
I am going to add Foal Play to my TBR book list!! You will love the Lee Child book if you are a fan of his books! I am!!
hugs,
Linda
I've been enjoying Skidboot on my Kindle. It was a good freebie!
Nice way to spend some downtime. I love reading and always have.
It's been quite some time since I read a book that I couldn't put down. I have three going now and I can put them all down. Blogs are better!
The Lost Wife was done last night and on to The Last Runaway!
Do post lots of 'warm' photos Dear...We are experiencing an unusual colder weather (they tell us it is an Arctic front...don't I know it! Br...)
thanks for the recommendation!
glad you have enjoyed most of your library finds.
hugs!
I just read Still Life by Louise Penny. It was a good mystery.
I will look for Foal Play for my next read.
I'm writing that one down for sure! Remember the the books about the Ponies of Chingoteaga? It reminds me of those books I read as a child but this must be the grownup version. LOL!
I read every night but I've been so tired in the evening that I don't read long before I start nodding off. I had company for Thanksgiving so maybe I'll get back on track this week. Thanks for the recommendation. If you get a chance read Beth Hoffman's books if you haven't already. YOu'll love them too!
The only thing I've taken time to read lately is blogs. I'll be sure to jot down the name of this book, it sounds good! Have a nice evening!
You have been and will be busy with your reading :) Is there anything better than reading a good book? Not much :) Hope your weekend is going well. Hugs!
I always like to read a Christmas book this time of the year, I must finished "The Christmas Quilt", it was just ok.
I'll have to check the book "Foal Play" out. Now that my show season is over...I'm reading "The Best of Me" by Nicholas Sparks.
hugs,
Cindy
A great selection I will be back on Literary friday in about six weeks. Meanwhile I have lots of reading planned. Thanks for your lovely comment on my book review blog recently, so much appreciated.
Oooo Is this book like Misty of Chincoteague? I bet we'd love this one, being horse people and all…
Thanks for linking-up! We went out of town for a college visit, then I had computer issues! Boo!
xo,
RJ
