A Glimpse of Spring!

I walked at Sholom Park this week and took a few photos to share with all of you.

IMG_1449

(the first 5 photos are untouched…right out of the camera!)

I know it’s been a cold and snowy winter for so many.

IMG_1399

We’ve had a mild winter and we have a few flowers (like azaleas) that bloom year round,

IMG_1444

but there are others like this tulip tree that bloom in the Spring. They begin with blooms before the leaves come on.

IMG_1433

And it definitely feels like Spring here in Florida this weekend.

IMG_1437

Our highs are in the 70s so it’s perfect to get outside.

crIMG_1441

I hope the flowers give you a little glimpse of Spring.

crIMG_1442

If not….

crIMG_1453

come on down to the Sunshine State!

*Happy Weekend*

Beautiful skies and blooms to marvel at, very jealous! We have a little sunshine today after days of howling winds and rain so to see blue skies and blues are a real pleasure to the eyes. Enjoy the rest of your weekend my friend. xx

Hi Miss Lavender Dreams,

Spring? Where? We had a little more snow last night, and yesterday morning began with snow. Let it snow.....but we need a break, maybe this week? Warming up but "it's not over yet". Ah, life in the mountains - we love it! And spring WILL happen.

Heaps of Hugs
Prudence ♥

The sunny state looks like it is in the pink. We are supposed to hit 60 today, but 70 sounds better. We really have not had this much winter in a very long time and after the drought, the moisture is good. Have a good week amd keep passing on the sunshine, we enjoy it.

You have reminded me that I need to check my Camellias and see if they are showing color on the buds yet. Thank you for sharing a little piece of Spring. Our snow has passed but it rained buckets full yesterday and again today.

Diane,
I just went on a walk also today and saw many signs that spring is on its way. Your flowers are so pretty; what a peaceful place this is.

Have a relaxing Sunday.

oh, our flower is the California poppy and saw a few of them while on our walk. :~) I would love to know what Florida's state flower is?

Nice signs of spring on your side of the state Diane, I haven't seen much blooming here. I'm sure if we went into some subdivisions we might find some nice landscaping and flowers.
I'm just happy to not be wearing boots and shovelling snow.

These are just beautiful, Diane, and such a joy to see! We have enjoyed the pretty snow here in N.C., but we're starting to get a case of cabin fever. :) I told my husband last night that when spring comes this year, it will be better than ever. The snow is so good for the ground and we'll be all the more ready for warm weather after having a "real" winter here in the south.

We have a tulip tree in our front yard; it usually blooms way too soon, but not this year. :) Thanks for sharing your gorgeous pictures with us! Visiting from Mosaic Monday -- hope you have a good week.

Hugs,

Denise

Beautiful flowers. We will probably be visiting Palatka and West Palm to see friends and family later this year. Always some pretty flowers and shrubs to see there.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos of your winter/spring Diane. The flowers are gorgeous but the first photo is so similar to our part of the world in the summer that it made me really long for summer. Enjoy the week ahead. Hugs. Pam

Spring in Florida sounds very appealing just now as the rain pours down. Lovely photos of your blossoms. I noticed my azalea bush is leafing out now, so when the warm weather comes it just might bloom!

Most of my friends from the other side of the world are still complaining of the cold temperature. In your case, you are blessed with a better weather. In my country, it's beginning to show summer.

I love the shots of the blooms! Have a great week name mate! Sorry for the late visit.
