A Florida Fall

Well as you might imagine, we are not having Fall like weather here. We will see some pretty Fall colors at about Christmas time. Now we are seeing changes with the way the light slants in the windows and across the Golf Course behind out house.

This tree even has a few colorful leaves.

It’s beautiful and sunny this weekend and even cooler. (or less hot!) Lots of golfers out today!

I’m joining Beautiful Sunday

Are you enjoying Autumn colors in your part of the world?

Hope you get more color...that is what we like about fall. But I loved all the sky shots. I can't get enough sunrises and sunsets. Blessings for a great Sunday. xoxo,Susie

The colors are slowly changer here at the lower elevations; the big color show was last weekend in the mountians with the aspens fully turned. Warm weather and I suppose mild seasonal changes are the reasons why seniors live in Florida, a truely beautiful state, I am learning from your wonderful photos. Have a good week, Diane

It's cooler here in the mornings now and the leaves are changing on some of my plants. By changing, I mean they are falling off. :) We don't get much of what looks like fall but it's definitely sweeter weather.

We are seeing some beautiful autumnal colours here. The conkers and acorns are falling from the trees and now filling my house with gorgeous rustic colours. Love this time of year! Have a wonderful week my friend xx

Beautiful pictures, Diane! We have the perfect autumn weather going on here in Nebraska--upper 70's during the day and cool nights. We even had a light frost the other night. If it could stay like this until Thanksgiving, I'd be a happy camper! Hugs!

Love those puffy clouds! Lots of pretty color here and the leaves are starting to fall. Happy Sunday:@)

we don't get many fall colors, either, and usually in november we see browns and yellows. :)

When the thick of winter is upon us and it seems to stretch on and on, I envy you. In the fall, however, I love the cooler temps, crisp air, blowing leaves, the colorful leaf confetti everywhere, wood smoke smell, etc... I'll take it all :-)

Hi,

We had our first frost last night, roofs and lawns were white early this morning, it was 29 degrees and the trees are beginning to turn and it is so beautiful.

Morning, lovely pictures. Had our first frost last night, brrrr, cold. Blessings Francine.

It's still warm here in BC, hardly any color. I LOVE fall so much, sounds like you do too, albeit a little later!!!

We are having some wonderful cooler weather. Cool mornings and beautiful warm afternoons! I have noticed that a few trees have leaves changing just a tad. I hope we have a beautiful Fall. We've had a pleasant summer so am hoping for lots of gorgeous colored leaves in the next few months.

What a great postcard. So pretty! Fall color here is a little fickle this year. Not too interesting yet; hope it's still forthcoming.

Simply lovely, my friend :) The leaves here are now fluttering to the ground and the trees are beginning to look quite bare. Thank you for sharing your pretty pictures!

Hugs to you!

Ahhhh yes. The Florida season begins. I can't wait to get my feet in that sand over the winter.

Gorgeous pictures! I haven't been to Florida in years and you're making me miss it. :) We've dropped a few degrees, so at least we're not in the triple digits, but it's still not looking like fall outside. Enjoy your week!

Things do tend to stay green down here in the tropics! Ha! I think the light and sky is so pretty this time of year. We did enjoy a "cool" weekend, but it will be back to hot and humid tomorrow. UGH

We have the same problem you do, here in Tucson! It's still in the 90s...it might be in the 80s this coming week.

We are heading to Miami in December to catch a cruise. . .I can't tell you how much we look forward to your winter as compared to ours! Great photos~ happy week ahead!

Nice mosaic Diane! I'm sure you are enjoying cooler weather today (I am in your state today) and it gives a hint of fall! Hope it continues as we head north.

Your fall is mellow, although not yellow, and pretty. Enjoy the warmth for those of us living in climates where it gets much, much colder, although we had a most summery weekend.

Denise said...

I love your mosaic, Diane! The sun beams are so pretty, and your pictures of the sky are just breathtaking!! I love the colorful leaves we have here, but I think fall is just a wonderful time of year everywhere because as you say, the sunlight is different, the skies are bluer, and the air just feels crisper and cleaner.

Happy Fall to you, my friend, and have a wonderful week!

Hugs,

Denise at Forest Manor

We went from Indian Summer temps last week in the 70s to 35F this morning when I walked the dog. I'm seriously thinking of pulling out the winter coat. :-)
Thank you for linking to Mosaic Monday Diane.

Some of the trees are beginning to turn color, especially the hard maples. I love October, my favorite month! We'll be wishing for some of your warmer weather before long, I'm sure.

We had a cold rainy weekend but the color is at it's peak in MI. We had highs in the 40s. I'm not exactly ready for those kind of temps yet.

Kim@Snug Harbor said...

Or colors are just starting to change. Love it and I'm enjoying the cooler weather. We had our heat on yesterday - 39 degrees.

Beautiful even if untypical. We're back in Oregon and it is still warm! And that is ok with us. We had a very different summer (in Alaska)... Looking forward to a typical Fall ...back in FL for winter, YAY!

Here in NC some of our leaves have been falling for a while, but are just now starting to turn colors. It was in the 30's yesterday morning and finally got up to the mid 60's. I like fall but not ready for winter!
Thanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY...
Blessings,
Cindy

Diane,
This is such a pretty mosaic, so dreamy. We are back to hot and humid, and not nearly as pretty as what you get to see each day. I would love to be in a climate where we had a real Fall, even though I would also have to have a real Winter!
Warm Hugs,
Jemma

I bet you will get more Autumn colors soon and cooler weather. It is cool in the morning here, but still very warm during the day. I'm looking forward to those cool Autumn days too, Diane. I do see the leaves changing colors already, but it seems that the birds are more scarce.

I like your kind of fall there Diane but I think I'd miss the colours we have here. We are in full colour now and a lot of leaves have dropped. Have a great week.

Not only has Fall arrived here in New England, but lots of leaves have already fallen! Wish they would stick around a little longer :(.

Beautiful clouds Diane! Enjoy!

When we use to drive to Jacksonville from St. Augustine to go Christmas shopping - we would count how many trees we could find that were changing colors!! Rarely had more than the fingers on one hand!
