Sewing for the holidays

I love having sweet little dolls in all of my holiday décor.

hallogirlIMG_8704

So I decided to make a little Halloween doll.

I even made her cat. I still need to go back and do a little embroidery on her face but I think she looks sweet here.

Too cute-- love the cat too! I did put a Fall wreath on my front door. That's it so far. Need to get out the Halloween box (and Nina's felt cats).

Very cute! I like your little basket of critters sitting next to her too. They're so cute! I have a Halloween doll with a cat that I sewed years ago and I really like her but she was from a printed fabric panel/kit. I just sat her out yesterday when I finished decorating for Halloween/Fall. It's looking pretty festive and cute around here too.

Hi Diane,

This doll is absolutely darling!! She has the sweetest face and ringlet curls, and I LOVE her dress! This reminds me to get my Halloween witch out of storage that my MIL gave me years ago. It's so much fun to decorate this time of the year, isn't it? :)

You really are talented Diane; I sew very little, and that looks like quite a project to my inexperienced eyes. Do you have an Etsy shop? You wouldn't have any trouble selling your cute creations, I'm sure. :)

I hope you have a wonderful week, my friend.

Hugs,

Denise at Forest Manor

Your new little doll is soooo cute, Diane. You are getting to be quite the sewer. I really admire that. My mom used to sew, and she made all my clothes growing up. How nice it is to be able to sew.

love,

She is cute, you are a talented lady. We don't really celebrate halloween in New Zealand, some kids go trick or treating but it is not a holiday that has really taken hold.
So our main decorating is at Christmas, and I have my first Christmas cake in the oven at the moment.

She's adorable, Diane, and yes, I am having so much fun decorating this season. October has quite an effect on me, so much so that it convinced me to give every guest who mentioned the tags a set. Oh dear, very raspberry tea for me. :) Those are some of my simpler tags, which are actually my favorite to make, so it's a pleasure. I'll try to have them out this weekend.
Thanks for always playing along.
xoxo

I was decorating outside today as rain is forecasted and I can decorate inside when it rains but outside I prefer it dry when decorating.LOL! I love your decorations and that little doll is too sweet. I thought it was a Marie Osmond doll...I can't believe what darling stuffies you make...you are talented! Now, I love your cats that you made and I want to make some like that!
