When I opened my pressie from my best friend Pat,
I danced with Shirley Temple!
Pat makes the neatest ‘paper’ dolls. They are actually made out of wood so I took a couple of photos this time to share.
You can see the little peg in front that helps the clothes attach to her.
Then I got my book out that Linda sent and helped Shirley into her snowsuit so that she could play in the snow.
We played in the snow!
And then we danced some more!
Have a fun filled day everyone!
***DANCE!!!

Thats a pretty cool idea to make that out of wood like that.
Shirley Temple is so cute and I love her in her snowsuit. She fits in perfectly with the book pages. I love that reader and I know it's found the perfect home!

Precious! I used to watch her as a child and I think I've seen every movie she was ever in. Paper dolls were about the only dolls I ever played with. I was a tomboy.
I love the Shirley Temple your friend made you! How neat to have the book too. I remember playing with paper dolls when I was little. Have a nice weekend.

Oh how cute! Shirley Temple was such a star even in her adult years. 'Always thought it was sad that her young adult films did not get the praise that her childhood films did :)

How cute and I love that everything looks so vintage.
Diane,
Just catching up on all your posts, and I loved this one because paper dolls were such a favorite in our family. And Shirley Temple, what a nice gift this is. I came across a quote the other day that I think you'd like:
"I stopped believing in Santa Claus when I was six. Mother took me to see him in a department store and he asked for my autograph." ~Shirley Temple
Have a lovely rest of the week, Diane.
