How’s that for a title?
We were hiking at Halpata Tastanaki Preserve and got ‘off the trail’ to see this old broken down fence.
(we look for fences everywhere now don’t we?)
And we scared up a covey of Northern Bobwhites!
The first bobwhites we’ve ever seen here in Florida.
I swung my camera around and got this photo.
Most of them ran off in one direction, but one flew right in front of me.
There were probably a dozen or more.
So that’s my story…
and I’m sticking to it!
I’m joining Tex for the
(if she’ll let me)

LOL Yes, it seems we are all looking for fence scenes now.. Cool sighting of the Bobwhites..Have a happy weekend!
That ALMOST looks like snow on the ground. :-)
Good morning my friend....you made me smile! I'm always keeping an eye out for fences too, but we just don't get out as much as we used to. So glad you got to see the Bobwhites! I have never seen one.
The white sand here in Florida does look a lot like snow in these photos...interesting! Thanks for the observation Kim! Hugs!
Fun post! Fences do require care! And Kim is right.
Beautiful and fun post. I started to look for fences too since following Tex and joining today with Good Fences.
So nice to see you too.
Have a great day sweet friend.
Hugs
Morning, great post, tee hee. Blessings Francine.
How great that you saw the bobwhites!!
laughing at your 'non-post'. :) and i am glad to have the ragged fences, too. :)
Good comeback! We can only share what we find.
How neat to see the Bob Whites - I've never seen one. Glad to hear that it wasn't snow on the ground.
Well, well, well ... I think you're blurring the lines a little on that fence! But the lines have completely been erased with the bird "shots"!! If this is your bird photography, I've got some that you won't believe in my files ha ha!!
Enjoyed this post Diane, you make me laugh ;)

aahh, maybe next time, Diane. I would love to see the northern bobwhite. I wonder why he's named that - maybe his white neck. Always a pleasure taking a walk with you on your hikes. It sounds like you enjoy nature very much. :~)
love, ~Sheri
I think Bob Whites are the prettiest little bird...very seldom see them here. But they are around.
Your fence has seen better days!
Clever fun! I like this hunt!
On second thought I bet little do we know there are birds somewhere in that tree!
Now those are some broken down fences. How neat to see the Bobwhites. I don't know as I've seen one before.
Hee Hee.. Those fences sure do need some fix'n that's for sure. Nice photos my friend.
Hugs~
You crack me up!! Never a dull moment my friend.
xoxo

I think all your fences are laying down having a rest!
It's fun to look for fence scenes. I think you found a good one. Sad to see it's been knocked down but it made for a great fence shot. To bad you missed the Bobwhite shot. That usually happens to me as well.
You always have such fun posts! I can't wait til warmer weather here and to be out and about wondering the woods! So fun! Hope you have a most lovely day! xo Holly
Fences do fall down sometimes!! Love the pretty pictures and all the SUNSHINE!!
I really like seeing your hiking pictures. We used to love to hear bobwhites...cause it seems they say their own names. :) Blessings, xoxo,Susie
I think God knew what he was doing when he invented camouflage! I can see the white streaks on the feathers just barely!
I envy your sun and snowless warm days for hiking!
Ah yes, the rare and elusive invisible bobwhite! Just kidding, I'm sure they were there but the little devils disappeared too quick ;O)
Oh I have hundreds of bird pictures just like that! You made me smile.
And I think it's fun to see fences in all their repair and disrepair. You do find great places to walk (birds and fences or not)~
I used to love when the bobwhites came back in the Spring when I was a kid on the farm in PA. I loved the sound they make. xo Diana
Great post and the title cracked me up
Hey, it's still a fence even if it has fallen!
Looks like it was a great fence at one time or another.
I so enjoy your post, you're so funny. I agree, it's still a fence.
Blessing,
Marlene
It looks like a pleasant place for a walk, and yes, we are now seeing fences everywhere! LOL Have a wonderful weekend, Diane!xo
Wonderful old fence post! I just love it :) And, yes, since I joined Theresa's GoodFences, I see fences everywhere :))
