how time was lost (an original story by ‘me’)

there once was a woman who kept her house clean and laundry done and even healthy meals prepared.

she created interesting posts and visited her blog buddies.

she sewed pretty things and read books. sometimes she even took a hike.

BUT… that was BEFORE!!!

BEFORE time was LOST!!!

And BEFORE hubby gave her an IPAD for a gift.

First he said, “LOOK! You can work a free puzzle every day.”

“Oh, did you see I loaded solitaire on there for you?”

“And…last but not least…here’s a FUN game called Candy Crush!”

and the rest is history…the great mystery of ‘how time was lost’ was solved.

Hope you got some fun new toys for holiday gifts too!

And don’t you love this little blue tooth keyboard he bought so that I can ‘write’!

(I thought in case my poetry didn’t catch on, I would try writing short stories! hahahaha)

Happy "ipad"ing :) Candy Crush can be addictive as can many other games and activities.

I couldn't help but smile while reading your post. It felt so familiar.
I'm sure you will find a way and manage to do all the things you enjoy doing and still have fun with your tab. The Bluetooth keyboard is going to make things go smooth when writing a post, a poem, a short story ...
Take care Diane,
Hugs

Nice. But don't get so busy with your new toys that your blog doesn't happen. We would miss you! I really need a little keyboard like that! I don't like to type with one finger. Happy New Year!

You are way ahead of me on your tech gifts Diane! I have an ipad that I use only for work, but did get a Samsung 6" cell phone and sadly loaded Tetras and Solitaire. YIKES!! You are correct - LOST TIME!!! I can actually sit with my husband for a whole football game, playing one of these two games and actually make short comments and say yes or no Hun. When before, I would have been doing genealogy research or on the blog!!! Grrrrrr! Happy New Year!!!

Wow great Christmas gifts, Diane!! I love that puzzle! :) I'm glad you're enjoying it -- I would definitely need the keyboard in order to type with one of those pads.

I hope you have a very happy, healthy, and prosperous 2015!

Oh so true - time seems to disappear when I play on my ipad. Pinterest is my main time grabber - I just get started and there are so many places to go. I am thinking of making a category of "pins I have actually done" - hmmm, that might be too revealing, according to how many pins I have, I fear the finished ones might be too few - but it would be fun to see what I've actually accomplished from my time spent wandering around in pinterest. Enjoy your new toy - love the story.

What a fun gift! What did we do with our time before technology toys? Happy New Year, Diane. Cute story.

Ahhh yes, I know all too well how time is lost in the IPad's enchantment.
Candy Crush graduates into Casino and then it's over!
Happy New Year!

Oh yes, I can so relate. Easy to sit and play while things go undone, but I can rationalize that I am keeping my brain alert. For an old lady, that's very important. :)

I am so glad you came back from your little tablet and were not trapped in there, with those puzzles and games. I don't play any games and don't do Pinterest, but waste (ha ha) spend lots of time on blogging and Facebook. Happy New Year and enjoy your fun new toy.

LOL! Loved your poem! For me, Scrabble is the monster who eats up all my time! Did you know that "HM" is a word? And so is "QI?"
I'm afraid to try Candy Crush - I'd never leave the house again!
Happy New Year, Diane!

Oh how an Ipad can change one's life! You may even find yourself blogging from it. I does not replace my laptop or my desk top, but I do love it. I use it especially for face time with my grandchildren and brother in Texas. You have a very sweet husband. No new technology for me, but I am hoping for a kitchen facelift.

Diane, such a delightful present! I am, unfortunately, all too familiar with Candy Crush! There is another game that is similar called Cookie Jam. I've not seen the puzzle game before. That looks like fun.

Happy New Year! I'm glad you got the keyboard too -- because I'm sure that means you won't spend every minute on the new IPAD and occasionally you will write one of your usual wonderful posts (and of course find the time to go places to get the pictures for them!)...

But that being said, I adore my IPAD ... and understand exactly what you mean about time!!~!
