Ohhh my Goodness Diane!! This wouldn't be the Emu in Barbersville?? We had a River Cabin on the St.Johns in Astor. When driving down from St.Aug, we'd cross the road in Barbersville and we stopped many times to "talk" to the Emu. B.ville has the old Astor Drawbridge there too!! We were sad when they put in the new bridge!!! Miss Astor!!
LOL Diane, the things you see !! I was amazed at the photos. I laugh when ever I see anything out of the ordinary while driving. When ever I see the llamas on my way to take Emma home...I tell her, "hey look, there's those long necked poodles. !" She always laughs. When we see the horses, Papaw says hey, there's the palominos. She says, any palomino is a pal-of-mine-o. " then we all laugh. Blessings for a great weekend. xoxo,Susie p.s. Emma loved the dolls PJ's. and all the things you have made sewing.
Wow - I never saw one up close - that would be so cool. Funny thing, there is a petting zoo near Seattle that has wallabies, kangaroos and ostriches - our grandsons went to see them, and even got to hold baby kangaroos. I wonder how they keep them all warm in the winter with so much rain here.
Diane, I just saw an EMU yesterday while me and husband were driving in the country. These are great pictures, and I love that last one hehehe. He looks like he wants to visit.
Hi Diane, you captured a great shot. Wishing you a very happy new year and many blessings in 2015. Thank you for a great year of blogging and friendship. Hugs
Well how fun was that! Good sighting! Neighbors tell me there used to be an escaped peacock in and around our RV resort here.... I'm kind of sorry I missed it, but I guess he was pretty hard on cars and RVs.
Happy New Year Diane, to you and your family and best wishes for a wonderful 2015. The emu is an inquisitive bird - love the last shot of him peering under the fence. hugs Carolyn
Hi Diane! Oh, what a cutie! Thanks for bringing a smile to me this evening. Happy New Year to you and I wish you the best for 2015! Be a sweetie, Shelia ;)
That's one funny little Emu for sure. Don't you wonder if they are as grumpy as they look. I can't imagine cuddling with him, hah. Happy New year. Haven't gotten to that stage yet. Hugs
Hi Diane, I cant say I have ever seen one of these on the side of the road! What luck you have and you always seem to have a camera handy! Great photos! xo Linda mysewwhatblog
Lavender has long been a favorite flower and color of genteel ladies. This shade of purple suggests refinement along with grace, elegance, and something special.
