Viewing Life through Rose colored glasses

I’ve been told I view life this way.

This is my kitchen window at sunset…

and it faces East!

roseFRIMG_1451

There was so much color in the sky that it was bouncing off the house next door and casting rose color into my kitchen…at sunset!

So what does this have to do with ‘fences? (maybe nothing! haha)

I went for a hike by myself again. It’s more fun to go with your hubby or best friend but I think it’s important to do things by yourself from time to time, too.

And it was a beautiful day for a hike!

I’m joining Tex for the

Good Fences party

and Roses of Inspiration.

Do you like to challenge yourself?

I think we all need some time to ourselves once in awhile. I need to clear my head from time to time: reset. And what is wrong with rose colored glass? Very pretty. Hope you have a wonderful week end.

I love the first photo, Diane! The color is simply beautiful! Sometimes life viewed through rose-colored glasses is the best way to go....

I do miss walking in my old neighborhood Diane. There were many routes I could take and I always enjoyed seeing the changes in neighbors yards etc. Here in the townhome community I often feel like a hamster on a wheel. I need to break out of the rut and drive to a pleasant place to walk!! You are encouraging me to do so.

And I love that beautiful color. The sun has not been shining here and I do miss it.

That first pictures is gorgeous. The "fence" is the lines of grout between the glass blocks there! Have a great day. xo Diana

I love sunset reflections and yours is amazing. Of course you see life through rose colored glasses and in the process make me and many others I imagine happy just reading your blog, looking at the pictures. I challenge myself all the time. With my type 1 diabetes, it is absolutely necessary or I would just fade away.

Even at my age, I'm always challenging myself. Now it's to take off those Christmas holiday pounds. That will mean more walks with Polly. That view of your wall in the kitchen is really gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful rosy glow! I love your windowsill. Better to look through rose colored glasses than dark and somber ones.

No walks for me - still fighting this mean old cold. But I think I'm winning.

Oh my, all that rosy color -- imagine what it would have been if you faced west!! A solitary walk would be nice, especially if you take your camera!

Hello Diane,
I just love the atmosphere in your kitchen at sunset. That is just beautiful. I agree it is important to take walks on one's own and get lost in our thoughts.
Hope your New Year is extra special

Hi Diane, Very nice that you wear rose colored glasses! That is the best way to view life! What an amazing glow of color. I love it when Mother Nature comes inside (as long as it doesn't have legs) lol....I like to walk by myself. Gives me time to think!

Beautiful colors to be bouncing around your world. I don't mind going for a walk alone, but not all the time.

Hi Diane, what a teat is that window. Beautiful colors. I too love alone time, we all need it to re charge. I have a special place that I love to walk and it always happens on Sundays afternoon, so I call it my "talk to God" time. Great challenge.
