Vintage Dolls for Wednesday Wee Ones

I don’t really have many things from my childhood but I’ve collected some pretty dolls in the past 15 years.

The shelves above the doll crib have some of my favorites.

The little armless doll in the pink crochet dress in the bottom left of the photo below and the cloth doll sitting down are mine. (and I did the bunny cross stitch years ago)

And in this photo the old bear in the baby carriage is my old bear.

I’ve spent a lot of time wandering down memory lane this week.

This is a special Wednesday Wee Ones. I’m dedicating it to my dear Aunt Margaret who shared my love of dolls and passed away a few days ago. I sure will miss her. The world lost a beautiful lady but heaven gained a most precious angel.

The doll in the yellow dress is just like one of my dolls from childhood. My grandgirls enjoy playing with it now.

I am so sorry for your loss. How wonderful to have a family member who shared your hobbies and love of dolls. No one in my family cares a hoot about my hobbies- so you were indeed blessed! You have a wonderful collection of dolls- I love the older ones.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your aunt. Take it easy this week Diane. Thanks too for sharing all of your dolls. I have only 2 bride dolls and 1 raggedy ann doll from my childhood. So glad you made up for it and started your own doll collection. Take care and hugs.

Diane, I am so sorry to read of the passing of your beloved aunt. It breaks my heart to hear of our older relatives passing. I only have one aunt and uncle left. It is sad to lose them, they are holders of our history so many times. I only have a few stories of my parents. I need to write them down for my grand children. I loved seeing your dolls. I have nothing of my childhood, we never had much to start with. I think when someone has something they have loved for so long it is a blessing. I hope you know you are loved. xoxo,Susie

So sorry to hear about the loss of your dear aunt. So lovely that you both shared a love of dolls. Your collection is beautiful!
My grandmother made dolls, and I have a sweet memory of being a child and watching her and her sister giggle over the cute pantaloons they'd made their dolls (peeking under dresses to show off the lovely lace and embroidery)!

I'm so sorry your aunt passed away.
My grandmother shared my love of dolls, she always made doll clothes for me and my sister when we were little girls.

Your dolls are SO cute!! I love every one!

So sorry for your loss of a special loved one. I hope your memories will be a great comfort to you. How great that you and she shared a love of dolls. Your collection was such a delight to look at. I regret that my Mom tossed most of my treasures from my childhood. I'm sure they were in bad shape, but I would LOVE to have a couple of the dolls I absolutely LOVED growing up and have looked for them at times on the internet. Your collection is wonderful!
