I call these my 'shabby chic' roses.
They are from a little spindly rose bush on the hot West side of my house.
But they produce the most beautiful pink roses with the most wonderful fragrance.
I usually keep the buds on the little bar above my kitchen sink. But today I took them to my dresser to take some pretty photos.
The little book is a very old Bible that I found in a torn down house years ago.
And since we are enjoying the beautiful roses, let's sprinkle a little pixie dust to spread some joy.
I would like to dedicate this post to my sweet blog buddy, Donna at Cottage Days and Journeys.
To my beautiful friend, Donna.
I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,
and Ivy and Elephants.

Nothing smells as good as a home grown rose!!
Gosh, such beautiful pictures and setting for the photos. So many roses don't have an aroma, so good for you that this one actually does. Lovely.
Dearest Diane, you have warmed my heart with your lovely images...I can almost smell the sweet rose :)
Thank you so much for sharing with Roses of Inspiration. Hugs and blessings to you!
Hi Diane, I love your pretty roses and the color of them is just beautiful. Have a wonderful day and week!
My mother used to grow the prettiest roses. I think she called them 'Don Juan'? They were gorgeous! Yours are appropriately tagged as 'Shabby Chic'. I can almost smell them! Have a lovely day my Florida neighbor!

Love the shabby chick Roses, so beautiful.Blessings Francine.
Your roses are so lovely! I would love to have a small bed of roses but just don't know if I could care for them properly. I see you are a fellow Floridian...:) Do you happen to know of any good climbing roses for Florida weather? I've been looking back over your past few posts and love your photos of the old church and also the river and alligator. I live just a few miles from the Suwannee River and the Gulf so lots of opportunities to be surrounded by God's creation here...:) Have a blessed day!
Diane, I love your beautiful roses. They look so sweet on the dresser with your things and the bible. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Gorgeous roses! The Bible was a wonderful find too.
Those roses are lovely and so nicely displayed on your dresser!
That's a great name for them. I have some of those too and I tend to them...only me! No one else can touch them. Pretty post! Maggie
Your roses are pink perfection. They grow in harsh conditions and sometimes produce the greatest beauty, which sometimes happens with people too.

That little, spindly bush sure produces gorgeous roses, Diane! They look lovely displayed in your home. Hope you are having a beautiful day. xo
They are beautiful and they smell like real roses and they grow in Florida, which isn't a given when it comes to roses. You are a green thumb gardener! And a heck of a good photographer.
Roses are my favorite flower and these ones are stunning!
These roses are gorgeous Diane! Shabby chic is the perfect description. Love, love the color!

Such pretty pink roses, Diane, and your photos are lovely too! xo
Beautiful roses Diane. Lovely shade of pink and yes, so shabby chic too.
Hope you are getting my comments. The glitch continues!
Have a nice day. Hugs, cm
Those are beautiful, Diane. They do have a shabby chic look about them and I can just imagine the wonderful smell.
I can almost smell the roses - they are so pretty. We can't grow roses in our yard - much too shady and with the damp ocean air we tend to get black spot and tiny little critters that chew up the leaves. Some yards in town have roses but they have a hotter micro climate - so we just drive by on sunny days and enjoy the view and the scent.
They are lovely and you can certainly be happy having a scented rosebush! Most of the hybrids are not :(
Beautiful roses!!
I have roses but they have no scent...dang....that's what I wanted! LOL! Yours are beautiful and with a great smell you've hit the jackpot!
Hi, I'm visiting from What's it Wednesday. Your roses are just gorgeous! Such a pretty color. I hope you will stop by for a visit.
