I’ve walked at Sholom Park a lot over the past 10 years but I still managed to see something new when I went this week.
The Wounded Heart Tree.
The sign reads, “What may have caused such a Wound? All of us are also wounded, even the Greatest among us. Notice how this Tree still Stands Strong. How did this Tree learn to Deal with his hard times?”
I don’t always stay on the path so I’ve missed seeing it in the past. We had a rain shower the night before so I was staying out of the wet grass and I’m glad I did.
Always something new or different to see when you get out in nature.

It was a beautiful day yesterday, it was cool and breezy while I was out all morning. Yes, no matter what path you take, the one outlined for you or your own, if your eyes are open, new things to see are there.

Interesting park... I don't think that this tree "learned" anything, but I know that people do as they yield their lives to God.

Sometimes we need to stay on the pathway, just so we don't miss the good stuff. Then again sometimes we need to stray off it to see the different stuff!

It certainly pays to stray from the path in a park as you never know what you'll find. I'd almost think this was a tree with 2 main branches that were forked and one broke away for whatever reason. Of course, that's the gardener in me and I like the heart shape that was left behind.
