Blue “Willow”

I almost didn’t get this.

IMG_5573

I came home and told my hubby about this tea set and he told me to go back and buy it! (I know, I’m lucky…he’s MINE and you can’t have him! hahaha)

IMG_5577

This thrift store is new to me and fast becoming a favorite. It’s called Next American Picker and they buy things from all over for their store. Everything is very clean and nicely displayed. The owners are friendly, too!

Do you remember this box? I got it there awhile back and it’s one of my favorite treasures.

I had the cake plate close by and thought the tea pot looked nice on top. Of course I’ll probably change it up some. I wonder if I should put my silver spoons in the sugar dish or should I put tea bags inside?

I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,

and Roses of Inspiration

and Ivy and Elephants.

Oh so pretty - I do love Blue Willow - I have a few pieces - just beginning to re-collect it. The fun is in the hunt. I have oodles of Pink Willow - and love it just as much. What a treasure you found - and what a treasure your husband is too. I have to be careful what I admire or Don will buy everything I comment on. (Though I do know how to hint when I REALLY want something.

So pretty. I have a blue willow soup tureen that I've posted here before, but I prefer Flow Blue and cobalt. Nice setting!

I used to have that teaset and dinnerware but when I downsized 3 years ago, I decided to get rid of all blue! Now I am thinking I may have to look for more! So pretty!

Hello Dear Diane,
Well we definitely have something in common now as everyday I drink my tea from an almost identical teapot even the same size as yours -
We have always used a teapot and lovely china and feel blessed that we even can.
Love that delightful little church building you pass on your trip to and from Florida - what a little beautie!

That was a good buy! I love each piece of English Blue Willow I have found over the years and keep it all in my red and white living room.

One of the American Pickers has a nice store here in Nashville but it is pricey.

Hi Diane, Love your tea pot and I'm so glad you went back to get it. It is beautiful and I have the same one given to me from my son one birthday. How nice it looks on your table. Yes, you've got a keeper in your hubby.
Thanks for stopping by my creative space and your kind comment.
Hugs, cm
