Do you remember nighties made with eyelet fabric? It was always so cool and pretty in the summertime.
Here’s Grace in her new nightgown.
I found the pattern HERE and it was quick and easy.
She has a pretty silk flower in her hair.
And since the long gown had holes ‘eyelets’ here and there, Grace felt she needed a white slip.
So I just made a simple slip to go under her gown.
Shelia at Note Songs is sewing for 18 inch dollies this summer too and making the cutest little outfits. You can visit her HERE.
The angel Grace is holding is from my blog buddy JoAnn HERE.
Grace is a petite 18 inch doll made by the Doll Maker, a Florida artist Linda Rick HERE.
Thanks for joining Wednesday Wee Ones.
And don’t forget to
take time to PLAY and SING!

I just came from Sheila's...you both have the best dressed dollies any where around! Grace's eyelet nightgown is adorable...I have always really liked eyelet fabric and lace. I hope you are enjoying your Wednesday!
Hi Diane! Oh dolly is so pretty! I love the eyelet and it makes a beautiful little gown. That was a great idea to make the slip too! She is gorgeous and love her sweet face and pretty hair. Thank you so much for mentioning me. I'll go back and had you to my blog. If you are going to do dolly stuff every Wednesday, I'd love to just go ahead and add you to my post each week. Let me know because this is so much fun.

Gracie looks so pretty in her white dress.
You are not going to believe it but yesterday I received the 'broderie Anglaise' fabric I ordered.(Now thanks to you I know that it is called white eyelet in English).
I am going to use it to make an outfit for some dolls.
Have fun with your dolls!
Love,
Arlette

Hi Diane. The dress is so pretty. It made me think of the little summer tops we wore when we were little, the ones where our bellies were bare. I haven't sewn doll clothes. I imagine it's great fun! Yours is such a dear.
Playing and singing....that's what I need. And want a beautiful doll.
She looks so sweet and you sew the cutes doll things.
and dance by yourself, that's important - dancing by yourself. Happy Wednesday, Miss Lavender Dreams.

Oh darling! You do such a beautiful job and Grace is a beautiful, well dressed doll.
I love white eyelet and remember nighties made from them or having it as trim. So cool on hot summer nights. Hugs. Pam
