I’ve started reading some of the best mysteries by Charles Finch.
I picked up one of them at a book sale and then requested a second one from the library.
Of course I had to walk up and down the rows of books and find a few more to check out, too. I love to read and have choices, don’t you?
When I was leaving I noticed this cute display and took these photos with my phone.
They are called Wayne Botz and I’ll just show you pics without working on them! lol
Just wanted to give you an idea of how neat they were!
‘Neato’ as we would have said in the olden days!
I’m joining Ricki Jill for Literary Friday .
What are you reading this week?
Is it a mystery?

Libraries are neat-o places, not just for the books but for the art and other displays that they host. We have a very small satellite library here that we are always worried about losing due budgets.Great reads, too, no doubt.
Diane, what a fun display and clever artist! Happy reading!
I have not been to the library in awhile, think its time! I have been rereading one of my "Gladys Taber" books.
Steam Punk art...I love it!! I have a friend who specializes in Steam Punk jewelry. Right now I am reading Fredrik Bachman's new book, My Grandmother Says to Tell You She's Sorry. By the author of one of my favorite books, A Man Called Ove. This one is different but interesting. I will look for Charles Finch as I love British mysteries.
You know i'm reading all summer! The library has been so great about getting books on my list for me! I'm reading Some Stuart Woods books that I've missed the last few years.
hugs,
Linda
Oh my...Diane! How interesting those Wayne Bots are...
I am busy reading Opal by Lauraine Snelling...I read the previous two, Ruby and Pearl last week and just fell in love with these beautifully woven stories!
I never used to be a great reader, but I am enjoying having my nose in a book much more these days...especially now in Winter! :)
Enjoy your mysteries...hugs to you!
Happy weekend!
Kelly-Anne
I read mostly mysteries Diane and have my Kobo ereader loaded with a few new ones to read next week while at a rented cottage with family. Many of the books I read are recommendations from blogging sisters and I've yet to be disappointed.
I'll add Charles Finch to my wish list. :-)
Nope. Still reading Blackberry Wine. This is the second library I've visited this morning! Interesting displays with all the cute robots.
I've never read any Charles Finch mysteries. I actually have a cozy mystery on my iPad Nook App I need to read.....but I must say that the book I read this week was fantastic!!! Thanks for your support of Literary Friday. It truly means the world to me, Diane.
I want to see the little Faux Bots in your library....I think it'd be fun to make one!
xo,
RJ
I love to read too and I have been telling myself not to feel guilty spending time reading-it's good for the soul. I don't have anything I am reading at the moment but I fell in love with the twilight books-read them 3 times-all of them and could read them again-lol
I just ordered 5 books for my Kindle and I have three real books that are in line to read first. I'd say, I am set for a while and in the summer I'm so busy that I don't have the time to read. That and the fact that I'm so tired when I go to bed, that sometimes I wake up in the night with my glasses still on and only a couple of pages read. Does that ever happen to you?
Have a great weekend and good luck on my Give-A-Way, thanks for putting your name in the hat:)
Connie
Not reading a mystery right now, but you know there are some there waiting for me. The Wayne Botz are just wonderful. We don't have anything on display right now other than books!
NeatO! I think Wayne Botz is doing a great job. All of the creations made me smile. :-))
Thank you for the reading ideas too.
Carla
great pics!!!! I think the wayne bots are wonderful, what an imagination! I'm reading The Cat Who mysteries at the moment,, audio style!!!!
I'm adding this author to my list for sure, I love mysteries set in England. Those are amazing robots that were on display.
Very neato :) I always love finding new mystery authors. Thanks for sharing. xo Laura
Wayne's bots are so much fun! My son would love them! Great reads for summer! I am reading Colleen Coble and love her mysteries!
Have a fun weekend!
Diane, I always love your books, and many of them are familiar, it seems all of the libraries get the same books at the same time.
Have you read, Before I go...by Colleen Oakley? Oh my, so well worth reading. It's a sad premiss but a wonderful story.
Jen
Those Wayne Botz are so clever - I loved looking at them to figure out what they were made of - very creative.
I'm not reading mysteries - I doubt I've read one since the days in grade school when I read the Nancy Drew books. Just finished a great book on John James Audubon by Shirley Streshinsky - one of the best books I've ever read. So much information.
I'm also sewing - hee hee - actually finished Ben's magician's cape today - and started on next week's doll project. We had some rain today so it was perfect day for stitching - and reading, next is the Wright Brothers (my grandpa was a teenager and was there when the Wright Brothers flew their first plane).
I have both these Charles Finch books in my TBR pile. I'll move them a bit closer to the top :-)

All the pictures looks amazing!
Hello dear Diane! Don't faint...yes, it's me Becky, leaving a comment! I know I've been such a bad friend, please do forgive me. I've been a bad blogger altogether for quite some time. I'm trying to get back into it, but it's not happening very often. Life has been crazier than ever.....so I think I'll just refer to anything crazy going on in my life...as normal! Hugs..
OH. I'm in the midst of reading about four books right now, and not doing very well at that, either! :)
Steam Bucket. I like.
I enjoyed your Blog and pictures of course.
I have macular Degeneration. So now it is hard to read
a long time. I used to have to read the whole book in a day. Not now.
Mystery books you have to really concentrate on people and names. Or you get all muddled up.
I had a book which had 8 characters going from room to room. I had to go back on several characters as I loss my thought.
Do you find that ever?
Charles Finch. He is new to me and I'm ready for a new mystery series.
Thank you!
Love the display pieces! Such imagination and creativity. I'll have to check out that author and see what's available via Kindle download from my library. I haven't been reading too much lately. Too many things to do during the warmer months.
What adorable robots! So cute! I just started a book by Elizabeth Berg. Thanks for the book suggestions!
Quite an imagination!!
I love finding a new author to read, especially with a series of great books already written. I love to read Alexander McCall Smith and I have one of his newer ones to read this weekend, The Handsome Man's Deluxe Cafe.
Thanks Diane. I've got to check out those Charles Finch mysteries! Set in London, so right up my alley. Love reading mysteries or non-fiction. Right now an reading 'Who is This Man? By Ortberg. Great book.
I always appreciate your book recommendations. Thanks for sharing!
Love those Wayne Bots!
I'm re-reading the old Martha Grimes and I just checked out "The Girl Next Door" by Ruth Rendell too!
And that Weiner dog made from a Thermos? I guess, is too cute!!
Oh yes, I love to read! I'm going to check out one of those mystery books up top. The covers really draw me in. Adore the robots at the library! Wow. What a fun display for everyone. Thanks for sharing these photos.
