Florida is a great place to live if you enjoy bird watching.
Bald Eagle
I’ve seen 3 eagles, 3 osprey and about 300 other birds this week!
There’s a small pond near the library and I drive by it every few days when I run errands.
It has had a huge flock of Great Egrets this week and just as many American Coots.
Of course, what’s fun is seeing the unusual birds tucked in among the common birds.
Great Blue Heron
Northern Shoveler
Mallard Ducks
and large white duck or goose?
Common Moorhen
I’m joining Beautiful Sunday and
Lavender Cottage for Mosaic Monday.
Oh and maybe just one more eagle photo!

They are so majestic and graceful to watch!
Diane, How lucky are you?? To get to see eagles like that , I have only seen one in nature. I love the egrets too. We often seeing herons in this area. Wishing you a beautiful new week, xoxo,Susie
Egrets have been here on their way South Diane. It is fun to watch the different birds migrating at this time of the year. I saw some geese flying in a V formation the other day and they were just honking away!
Very impressive! Love seeing herons in flight.
Great photos Sis! I love how many birds you get to see! Happy Monday!
hugs,
Linda
Wow, look at all the birds! The Great Egrets are so pretty and graceful. I've never got the Bald Eagle yet except for at the zoo. He's so grand, isn't he? Way to go, Diane.
Have a good week.

Love all the bird photos, Diane! I have a particular fondness for the American bald eagle. We have several of them along the rivers here in Wisconsin, and when our grandson stayed with us, he went from being very excited to seeing one - to it all being very ho hum after he had seen several over the week's time. Kids! LOL Beautiful photos!
What wonderful images. I adore your new light fixture.
Have a wonderful week!
I would love to see all those different birds. Beautiful pictures of them as well.
I love to see the migration of birds. Amazing.
Hi--I too have seen and photoed a bald eagle that lives in the trees by this complex and he loves to fly out over the river along this edge--
thanks for sharing the photos-
smiles, di
Wow. So many different water fowl in one place. Seeing the eagles is amazing Diane. Have a wonderful week!
Beautiful photos of all the different birds.

Fabulous shots my friend and wow I would say FL is for birdwatchers and bird lovers.....can't get enough of them!
My oh my, you certainly have a boatload of birds in your area :) I so love watching the birds.
It's a joy to pop in for a visit, dear friend. Hugs to you!
Hi my friend - Taking a minute to check in on some blogs. My blogging is so erratic anymore (hope I don't lose my followers). The huge floaters are still in my right eye, but I'm learning to adjust. You posted a wonderful series of photos! Love those Egrets!
I'm so envious of all the birds in your area. The photos are amazing, and seeing a flock of egrets is stunning. Washington state likes to claim it is an environmentally friendly state - but on the west coast of Washington we have very few birds, in comparison to just where you live - not even including the whole of Florida. Building on bird habitat has driven a lot of the birds away. We have to travel 20 to 50 miles to see any amount of birds, which is sad. I'm used to Northern California where there was a bird sanctuary right in the middle of town and we could see dozens of kinds of birds, different ones each time we'd visit. I'd love to visit Florida and spend days just going to see the birds that are all around. Enjoy - you are very lucky my friend.
Oh my, Diane, that is a lot of birds! Love the picture with the Egrets & Coots. The glimpses of white in the reeds look almost magical. Thank you for sharing with us! :-)
Can't have too many Eagle pictures. That is a wonderful pond. Looking forward to next month when hopefully we can start to do some Florida birding! ( though it'll probably take a month to get the house in order first)))
Beautiful to see so many different birds in one place! It must sound wonderful, too! Great shot of the eagle - always love to see them. Hugs xo Karen
Wow, it's like you have an aviary in your backyard! You captured the birds in flight beautifully/
What an amazing variety of birds you've seen. The egrets and herons are such interesting looking birds. I hope you enjoy watching the bird life there throughout the next months. I assume that some of them winter there.
wow, that's a lot of birds...great photos.
Evening, incredible pictures, I love bird watching, thanks for sharing.Blessing Francine.
Beautiful photos, Diane. I do remember all the birds I saw in FL. We were far enough South that we had wild parrots living in a tree in our back yard. xoDiana
Wonderful shots! The bald eagle is fabulous...really beautiful captures. I love seeing them!
The birds know where to spend the winter, Diane! They all look very happy there in the warm weather. THey would not be happy here as we are getting snow tonight! ;)

Those a great eagle shots! For some reason I really like the egrets. I enjoy seeing them in Florida, Aren't they the birds that you see by cows?

I've found bird watching more enjoyable in Florida too Diane - greater variety and usually not camera shy!

If I didn't live in Texas - I would live in Florida!
I am thinking that some of your Floridian birds are making their way in my direction right now. Lovely set of birding shares
