St. John's River

We stopped by the St. John's river to walk along that old sidewalk that tried to kill me last year. (this is where I fell)

The river looked amazing!

It was late afternoon but there were still some canoes on the river.

And look who came to greet us, looking for a handout.

We didn't have any bread to feed them but we'll try to remember next time.

Are those all ducks? Hmmmmm!!!!
I think that rooster is having an identity crisis! haha!

Happy New Year, Diane! It's been a while since I last visited. We had such a wonderful 2015, very busy with two graduations and a wedding, and now I'm just happy to get back to a slower pace, looking forward to catching up with bloggy friends.
Hope you enjoyed the holidays. Me? I want a do-over. :)
xoxo

What a lovely place for a walk. Some nice fences. So glad there were no falls this time. That rooster looks a bit out of place.

Ohhhhhhhh lovely. I'm glad you didn't fall this time - enough of that. I just love any pictures of water - these are especially nice - I can almost feel the breezes and smell the fresh air. Have a grand weekend my friend - I am planning on doing NOTHING. Good plan. Hee hee

I'm sure glad that sidewalk wasn't successful last year! That was a terrible fall. The water photos are just gorgeous. Love the blue and the fences... and the rooster! Have a wonderful weekend, Diane.

How funny to see a chicken amongst the ducks!
It sure looks inviting there, Diane, with the beautiful water in the background. We are knee deep in snow here.
Have a good weekend!

I remember that fall last year but probably not as good as you do! It was terrible! Beautiful river walk though.

Kinda like getting back on the horse that threw ya, huh? Only that time it was a sidewalk. Gosh, it sure wasn't anything to laugh at then ..l that was scary! It is a beautiful place and that silly rooster made me laugh!

Ohhh my goodness!! This is Astor!! Our river cabin is across the river, on the opposite bank (the Lake Co. side) down to the right. We built it up on stilts in 1964!! Sold it when Dad passed, 10 years ago to friends and they closed in the bottom, built a rock bar outside it and a rock patio. This is where I grew up on weekends and summer vacation!! We have a lantern from the old bridge that didn't go up, but swung out. LOVE this area of the world!! Watch out for gators!!! In the spring. . . .
