Traveling Clothes!

I must admit sometimes I am drawn to a doll because of their cute outfit, but not always.

This is a Madame Alexander 18 inch doll that I have had fun sewing for. And I think she looks cuter in little handmade clothes.

(Her original outfit)

These two dolls are My Life dolls from Walmart and I thought I would show their original 'traveling clothes'.

I've taken some time off from sewing and now I'm itching to get back to it. What a fun way to use your imagination designing doll clothes.

Today JoAnn is sharing something new for her dolls. Visit her HERE!

And Danice is sharing a post with her new doll Kelsey HERE.

Shelia's been busy sewing for her dolls too. Visit her HERE!

Anyone else have a doll post today?

Don't forget to take time to play

and HAVE FUN!!!

Morning, Diana! Oh, I love that first little doll! She is so cute and I love her little dress too. My Marion is a My Life doll also from Walmart! Such sweet little faces. Well, you pushed me and I got my post up! :) I'm mentioning you too on my blog. Have a great week.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

No doll post. I bought gray material to replicate a little dress that I had made for my youngest daughter when she was 7 or 8, her favorite childhood dress. When I opened up the piece that I had cut on the fold, the line had faded, making a perfect line down the middle of all the pieces that I had cut. I took the material back to Hobby Lobby where I had purchased it and got my money back. The clerk said that the lighting in the store fades material that has been there're too long. Bummer. So make sure to double check the fold lines before you buy fabric. Your fashion creations are so much cuter than the traveling clothes. Lucky girls.

Diane, your dolls are always so well dressed. My poor doll is sitting upstairs in her underwear. -(( I must get busy! I'm sure she would appreciate a spring outfit. Have a wonderful day! xo - Judy

Ohhhhhhhhh sweet sweet dolls. I just love every outfit - the originals and the ones you sew. That pink dress is sweet as the treats on the table. I'm still looking for a table for my dolls. One day I'll come across one. I love the beach outfit and the cute cute shoes. The accessories that the dolls come with are so precious - and can be used with so many outfits. I guess it is time for us to begin sewing again - I've been pondering some new outfits for a while now - time to get busy. Have a great week my sweet friend!

Oh, yes, I agree! Your little dresses are ever so much more charming and "kid" friendly, too. All those dinky, unattractive clothes are going to be underfoot and all over the place in a little girl's world.

No dolls here and no talent in sewing either! Your dolls are so cute. Scout has a couple of soft dolls right now but when she gets older I can see dolls like this in her future.

Linda
