"Out behind the house" American White Ibis

It's not unusual to see a white ibis here in Florida but it's still a thrill to see one in your backyard.

We live on a golf course and I'm pretty sure this beautiful white ibis was planning an afternoon round of golf! (he's just off to the left of this photo, not quite ready to tee up! I should have 'photo shopped' him in! lol)

Can I get a little closer please?

Oh, excuse me for sneaking up behind you!

Isn't it fun to see the unexpected in your own backyard?

Have a wonderful weekend!

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

Happy weekend. I am always thrilled when we see wild turkeys, they are so beautiful.

Expecting a freeze tonight but I am going to buy some cooler weather herbs today, I miss cooking with them fresh from the garden during the winter.

Hugs to all.

What a nice surprise Diane. Regarding your comment on my recent post about the sugar bush I have extra boots and coats and scarves should you come for an adventure. :) You won't need them from June to October though. Come on up for a visit anytime! Hugs. Pam

What a wonderful visitor, Diane. The curved red beak is a dangerous looking thing. He might be a great opponent on the golf course.

The only way I know about the Ibis is through the crossword puzzles. Have never seen one but your photographs are great. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my, what an unusual looking bird, and to see this in your back yard! Florida sure has its share of unique birds. This one is spectacular! I wonder if its long beak gets in the way of things hehehe.
