I pulled over to take a couple of quick pics of this 'runaway' cow just as an emergency vehicle pulled in with his lights flashing.
So I didn't want to get too close. I was leaving it up to Senior Blanco (our 'pet' donkey) to try to talk her back in! Those are cattle egrets keeping her company on the 'wrong' side of the fence.
And then when I parked at a store, I looked up and saw a man working on this billboard with just a bit of a fence across the front.
I don't know why they didn't offer me that job! hahahahahaha!!!
Let's see...I could have been a cow rustler or a billboard painter today. Which job should I apply for?

well, in texas, cattle rustlers are highly frowned upon, so i'd vote billboard person. :)
we get a lot of 'cows out' calls here, unfortunately. hate it when they cause accidents...

Diane, So funny and cute. I often wonder if people look at their fencing when I see escaped animals. LOL I see the sign painter has his safety harness on. I have worn those and thought how long could a person dangle from it ...if some one didn't come to your rescue. :):) Blessings for more fun as you are driving along. xoxo,Susie

Unique fences this week. I KNOW I wouldn't want to be doing the billboard since I am afraid of heights. But I'm a bit nervous around cows too. Hmmm... It made me smile when I saw what the billboard was advertising. If that guy isn't careful, he might need to see one of those doctors the attorney is going after. Ha, ha!

That cow looks pretty calm so maybe he/she was probably thinking that the grass was greener on the other side.;-)

It has been a while since I've been blog visiting! Yours is always a fun and first place to stop in for a "Hi there and how are you!" My funny fence blew open allowing our 160 pound dog to escape! She came inside - what a surprise- easily. Then the strong winds blew the door open again and Porschea the perfect puppy and I ran to get to that opening! I beat her! Another surprise! Haha! Fences can be good for dinnertime conversations. Billboard is my answer to your question! :)
I think that I would take a pass on both of those jobs . . . unless I was hurting for a pay check. Then I would roll up my sleeves and take either one, LOL.

You're so funny! I can picture you trying to get that cow! We see them every now and then here too. It's really dangerous when they are close to the road.
Since the fellow is working on an attorney sign, if he fell he would have a lawyer.
That was an adventuresome day and a fun post afterwards.
Cows are always sneaking out and causing mayhem. I know it's not funny that they cause accidents, but I sometimes find myself rooting for their brief escapade..after all the grass could be greener on the other side of the fence or so they think.

HI Diane! Looks like you caught some pretty neat snaps! The cow outside his fence reminds me of Texas. We were always seeing this. One time I actually saw a little Bison on the side of the road! That man has probably been doing that job a long time and he's taking chances! Hope you're doing well and thanks for popping in to see me. My doll sewing days have stopped for the time being. I'm totally sewed out, if you know what I mean! ;)

We saw a little calf outside a ranch fence along the highway earlier in the week and pulled into the nearest homestead to see if he was theirs. No one was there, but then we saw an ATV headed down the road and we pulled over to talk to the driver. He was on his way to rescue the calf -- someone had already called him. I like it that we live in cattle country where folks watch out for each other and their livestock. The billboard job doesn't look very inviting to me. Rounding up cattle in an ATV might be okay. ;)
I loved this post. I can't imagine working on billboards. I'm terrified of heights.
I would say that you are the photographer! I could not do the billboard...not now. When I was younger, I would not have thought a thing about it.
Hope the escapee found it's way back to the right side of the fence. Oh my I would so not do what that guy on the sign is doing. Heights scare me now and that wasn't a very big fence.
There was a bull on the news last night somewhere that got loose and ran several people over and sent them to the hospital! You couldn't get me up on that bill board! LOL!
Guess you'd better stay away from cow rustler - unless you want us to have to visit you with a file in our cakes. And I would never want to be up on the billboard - especially pulling that heavy load up - looks like he might need an attorney - dangerous job.
