Spruce Boat Ramp in Dunnellon, Florida

We drive into Dunnellon pretty often for one reason or another.

And one day we went down a little side street to this public boat ramp.

What a VIEW down the Withlacoochee River!

It was spectacular!

Sometimes you see boats in the river and often people fishing off the dock.

When we drove over there last time, it was too hot to fish!

Too hot to FISH? Now that’s pretty hot! lol

Another common sight…

a bobber on a fishing line, stuck in the tree limbs!

(no it’s not mine! haha)

Diane, I have heard every fish quote there is...I used to work with almost all men. Here's some quotes ;wind out of the east fishing is the least, wind from the west fishing's the best. My favorite is , "The first liar doesn't have a chance, cause someone will out lie him" That river makes me think Alligators. !!! LOL. It's going into a hot spell here...we won't be out much. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

I love these photos. A dock on the water is always such a fun place to visit. Too hot for sure though!

Hello Diane,

This is a beautiful area of Florida. You made me laugh with your disclaimer of the red ball not being yours. Ha Ha
Hope your summer is spectacular.

It is so pretty! your scenery always reminds me of why we fell in love with Florida (not the Palm Tree/Disneyland/busy beaches part of it, but the beautiful quiet waters, ferns) ... well, you know, the same things you love about it! People here in Oregon think it is hot right now -- but people in Oregon are wrong ... it was hotter at the end of May/early June in Florida than it is here now.

Diane,
Your photos are deceptive. The water looks cool, not hot. :) Why aren't you in the NC mountains to cool off?

That river is gorgeous and fish are smart! They stay in the depths when it's hot out...so it really can be too hot to fish for both involved. LOL!

I see all the many water in your photos, and therefore seems to me to make an excellent environment :-) The last picture with that little red apple or berry I find really amazing!

What a pleasant looking place. - I think that would be my bobber as I'm not the greatest at casting.
